Dracula orchids’ leaves problems

Hello everyone, another call for help from my side.

I’ve had these two Draculas (chimaera and vampira) for about two months. I didn’t get them in a perfect condition, but in the last week their condition deteriorated significantly (see the leaves).

To be fair, the temperatures where we are were way to high for them (in the room they are standing the temperature was as high as 30 degrees Centigrade), could it possibly be the reason their leaves are like this?

They are making new leaves and chimaera is about to bloom, so I’m rather confused 😵‍💫

Disease identification help needed

Hello,
does someone know what could be the disease/issue on this plant’s leaf?
On the first photo: downside of the leaf
On the second one: topside of the leaf (obviously)
It’s a Dendrobium “nobile” but the one you can buy in grocery shops during winter season.
It’s cultivated in a glass jar for at least six years in sphagnum moss. Repotting did not happen during the period.
The jar ist standing in a orchidarium.
Installed is a automatically operated misting system and two quite small radiators.

Where to start?

Hello everyone,
I’m completely new to the hobby of creating a paludarium. I collect orchids, and some of them have very specific requirements, so I couldn’t resist buying a glass terrarium (100 × 50 × 40 cm), a lighting system, a misting system, and a pair of 60 mm fans.
The picture I’ve attached shows how it looks at the moment. Since I already had all this equipment, I decided to take things a step further and try building a paludarium. That way, it won’t just provide the conditions my orchids need, but hopefully also become an attractive display.
The problem is that I don’t really know where to start. There don’t seem to be many beginner-friendly guides out there 😅. I’m also struggling to find reliable sources of information about planning, hardscaping, drainage layers, water features, plant selection, maintenance, and all the other aspects of setting up a successful paludarium.
My goal is to create a natural-looking setup with orchids as the main focus, while keeping the environment healthy and relatively easy to maintain. At this stage, I’m open to any suggestions, tips, or recommendations for resources that could help me get started.
What would be your first steps if you were setting up a paludarium of this size? Are there any common beginner mistakes I should avoid?
Thanks in advance for your help!

What Neofinetia falcata variety is that?

Hi everyone,

I’m rather new to the whole world of Neofinetia falcata, so please excuse me if my question is stupid.

Last year, before I started digging deeper into the Neofinetia falcata collecting I’ve bought this Neofinetia falcata at the orchid shop in my region where I have almost all my other orchids from.

At the WOC 2026 in Dresden I’ve had my first real encounter with the varieties of this plant and I’ve bought two more (seikai and kokakuden), but the one I have looks nothing like any of them.

Is there a possibility to determine which variety my first plant is? I don’t have any pictures of how the flower looks like as I haven’t seen it bloom yet… maybe someone experienced can help me 😅

Thank you for your time and help!
