We have a trip coming up in about a month. We have a 4 year old mini schnauzer that's pretty timid, but friendly. In the past we tried leaving him at a kennel for a few nights, but he didn't look too engaged with other dogs (we monitored for a bit through their cameras), and he was pretty much locked in a crate from 8pm till morning, which I also didn't like. We also tried a pet sitter before, hard to tell how well he was doing, probably not too bad based on photos the sitter sent to us.

For this trip, we have an option of someone stopping by our house few times per day to take him out for walks as well as feeding him and spending some time with him. Has anyone tried something like this? He'll be alone for long stretches of time, but dogs stay alone when owners work as well. And he'll have company 3 times per day. Plus he'd be in a familiar environment.

Is this a viable option? Or should I go with a dog hotel, or pet sitter.

I want to add a drone synth to my setup. I currently have a Minifreak that I use for most things, EP-133 for drums and sampling. I just purchased an EP-136, which should let me add one more device into the setup. I want to try a simple drone/ambient synth, something I can run in the background to play over with the minifreak. I looked around for options, and Roland Aira S-1 popped up in a few YouTube videos. I know it's not a fully dedicated ambient synth, but it seems to work quite well, and I like the idea of having a second synth if I need something other than just drone.

Does it make sense for my use case? Or there are better options out there? I'm trying to keep it on the budget since I'm still very new to all this.

I'm trying to pick a new photography backpack for my kit, I pretty much landed on the Shimoda Urban Explore 25l as my choice. The only thing it was missing is the waist belt for longer hikes, but I noticed that they actually sell it as an optional accessory. Has anyone tried it with this bag? Does it feel good enough for a longer hike/day trip?

Help me understand. Marketplace is the used gear resale platform? Why are the prices on it are same as new items? Everyday backpack goes for $299, same as new.

Thinking about adding that lens to my collection, but unsure it's the best options. I really like how compact and light it is, and I want the reach. But I also want decent sharpness, especially at the long end. I want to use it for landscapes, when I need more reach. Wouldn't be my main lens for sure, I have sigma 16-28 and Lumix 24-60 that I mainly use for landscapes.

If anyone has any raws they're willing to shore with me taken with the lens, particularly landscape shots. I would really Appreciate it!

I have only experienced it with one set of patches I bought. I can move other patches to the keyboards "Init" slots with no issues.

Basically, i have added patches to that sound bank to minifreak before and they worked fine. Yesterday I wanted to init all patches and build a collection of sounds instead of packing everything I have (and running out of slots). I set all patch slots to init, and started moving patches from the collection I've setup with curated patches. Most of them synced to the keyboard fine, except patches from one of the collections I've purchased online.

When I try to move those patches, progress bar just freezes on a number. I waited for a while, nothing changed. I canceled, and saw that one or two patches from that collection actually synced, but the rest didn't.

I tried resetting keyboard to default settings (util - misc - reset on the keyboard). Not really sure what to do.

Should I delete those patches and import them to Minifreak V again? Maybe something got corrupted. Although, if I select them in Minifreak V they work just fine.

Hi. Im trying to get my Minifreak to play via Minifreak V app. I made it work like once or twice, but most of the time sound is not coming out of speakers, even though keyboard is linked to the app. I think im using correct channels in the settings for Midi/outputs, but im not 100% sure. Keyboard is connected to my PC via usb, app is seeing it and links to it fine. Does anyone know how to resolve this? Thanks!
