A question about transgender people becoming Catholic.

I will make it clear here that I am not transgender, and was born and raised in the Catholic faith. I was just wondering how the church is meant to react to this particular situation.

Most of the information I’ve seen regarding transgender issues from the church has made it clear that altering your body to appear or live as the opposite sex is wrong. I don’t have any problems with that teaching, but my question is mainly surrounding the fact that I have found basically no information on what someone should do if they have already completely medically transitioned, and have been living as if they are the opposite sex for years.

I don’t know if it’s fair or realistic to expect someone who has spent years looking like, sounding like and living like the opposite sex to go back on all of that. Are people in this situation expected to try undoing any surgery or hormone therapy they have received? And if they can’t, are they expected to tell people that they are a man/woman even though they do not in any way look like, sound like or generally come across as one? Would that not be some form of scandal in itself, as even though they have the appearance of say, a man, they are telling people that they are actually a woman. Am I just massively overthinking all of this, is there something I’m missing?

I know this is an odd thing for someone to ask, especially considering I’m in no way personally affected by any of this. But the more confused I get about something, the more focused I get on finding an answer. Sorry if this is all ridiculous. Thanks.

[iphone][~2023-2024] extremely small browser game where you are a werewolf terrorising a small village.

The game looks like it was drawn on some kind of free online drawing software. Very simple designs. It is set at night. You start next to a house at the left of the screen, and follow the character as he moves right. You press on the screen and he turns into a werewolf, with the people and objects around having somewhat humorous reactions when he does. One I distinctly remember was a priest seeing and coming back with a shotgun trying to shoot at the werewolf. You get to the edge, then turn back around and go back to the house, where the game ends. I think there might’ve been a pub/restaurant or something of that kind, but I’m not certain. The only thing I’m 100% on is priest.

It’s really obscure to the point where I’m not even certain it exists anymore, or if anyone will find it if it does. But it doesn’t hurt to try. Thanks.

Something I’ve been thinking about recently: How could you possibly respond to “I don’t care”?

I was thinking about this because it’s something I’ve seen someone say, and many others agree with. Essentially, “abortion is killing a human being, but I don’t care”. I feel like the foundations of pro life arguments tend to rely on the assumption that all people have, for a lack of a better way to put it, basic morals. Or that they, at the very least, believe that it is wrong to end the lives of innocent human beings.

But in this situation, a person is essentially admitting that they don’t believe that. That they believe it is completely acceptable to end innocent human beings lives, as long as it’s for a reason that they approve of. And at that point, there isn’t really much you can say. You can’t use moral arguments against people with no morals. They fundamentally don’t care about the prospect of ending an innocent human life, so there isn’t much you can do to convince them it’s wrong. It makes me really depressed that this is even an issue, but that’s the way things are.

So, what do you actually do in this situation?
