Feasibility of working as a driving instructor part time?

Hi,

I'm a medical student still currently, I am currently also preparing to be a driving instructor.

I wanted to ask how feasible this would be as an F2 and also if it's worth it as I'm sitting my ADI part One exam in a few weeks.

I'm mainly doing it as I've always liked the idea of teaching driving and also I figured the pay would be quite good and would help me out a lot during foundation years.

Thank you.

Great news for anyone looking to boost their cv: Radiology conference abstract deadline extended to 20th July!

With the abstract deadline now extended to the end of 20 July, I thought I'd share this in case it's of interest to anyone considering radiology.

The Radiology Resident Forum Conference 2026 will be taking place on Sunday 18th October 2026 at Guy's Campus, King's College London, with an online attendance option available. It's officially endorsed by the Royal College of Radiologists and is aimed at medical students, foundation doctors and radiology trainees.

Abstract submissions are open for:

Research

Audit

Quality improvement projects

Other diagnostic or interventional radiology-related work

There are opportunities for both oral and poster presentations, with prizes awarded for the top presentations.

It's also a good opportunity to present work nationally and strengthen your portfolio and CV.

The conference itself includes talks from consultants and trainees, workshops and networking opportunities. Last year's event had over 1,700 attendees from more than 40 countries.
