My 17yo daughter and her 17yo boyfriend have been dating for 4 months. He treats her really well and we trust him. She just asked if they could go camping on their own at a place that is about 100 miles away. I told her it’s a No for now b/c: they are both too young/still kids, it’s too far away, she has never camped before, and more importantly, she is a young girl and the world can be a very bad place.

He is a very experienced camper and goes with his friends all the time, but there’s always at least 4 or more going, all guys.

Anyone else been in this situation? What was your decision?

When we upgraded from our starter home 10 years ago we decided to rent it vs sell it. Took a home equity loan on the starter home to finance the down payment on the new home and charged just enough rent to break even with all expenses. Today we made the last mortgage payment on the rental home. Will finally earn enough passive income to pay our current mortgage.
