Hi everyone, I’m in a really frustrating situation and could use some local advice.

​I lent a friend $1,000 USD via bank transfer a while ago. They have now stopped replying to me and are clearly refusing to pay it back. We both live in Budapest (I have their home address).

​I have solid proof: the official bank transfer receipt and all our chat history where they acknowledge the loan.

​I’ve read a bit about the "fizetési meghagyás" (Order for Payment) process through a public notary. Has anyone here actually gone through this process for a personal loan?
