Worth renting for 3k in London?

Moving to London in a few months. Have an offer for 108k. My partner earning around 40k in India and will continue working remotely. Have 1 kid. We really want to live more central in nice areas with good schools and decent commute like Islington or Hampstead etc., but rents for even 2bhk there are 3k+ . Is that ok with this salary, or is it better to live farther out like Zones 3-6?

Private health insurance?

Some employers seem to be offering private health insurance as part of their benefits. How does this play together with NHS? Those of you who have this provided by your employers, what do you use insurance for?

How much racism and hate crime are you seeing in London lately?

We're planning to move to London later this year. I've seen a lot of anti-India sentiment online, especially in the West. Also heard about some uncomfortable incidents where people attacked Indians. The political climate seems to be getting more anti-immigrant as well.

Question: how unsafe does London feel on an average day for Indians?

We're three of us: myself, my wife and my 5 year old kid (who's pretty loud and mischievous if I'm honest).
