Rise in theft from Uber. I work at a liquor store and Uber drivers/riders stealing orders — also placing orders and then cancelling them to get a refund — is common. What are your takes?
For myself, I think it’s really stupid when I can see your name, we have cameras, etc 🥴 also pretending to attempt to deliver and the driver is still outside ? A lot of loop holes and fake attempts of delivery or fake attempts to deliver and the order never gets returned
Feel like having a yappa yappa, so this morning, while driving to the gym, I noticed my motorbike wasn’t left how I parked it 😅
PS: there’s no underground parking for my apartment — it’s all street parking only. In the past, I’ve had my old bike stolen and found two streets away, so I was suspicious.
I took the cover off my bike and moved it back how I had it, sussed the fairings out, etc. Then my neighbour, who lives directly across from where I park my bike, came out and explained what happened.
For context, there’s been an abandoned car on our street that he called the council about. Last night at 12:30am, a council summoned tow truck came to collect it, and it was a tight squeeze. In the process, they knocked my bike over, and my neighbour came down to pick it back up. I’m not sure if the tow truck driver helped him or not but he knew he hit the bike
So I’ve called the council to let them know what happened, and we’ll go from there they said someone will reach out on the report etc.The fairings have scratches, along with the exhaust and the mirror corners 😭
Hate street parking bike is open to being reversed into stolen or whatever
