Family is at the regional I’m from out of town it seems the whole city is booked. Wondering if anyone knows any other places to stay?

My regular phone plan is $15 a day to travel to the US for two weeks that adds up a lot. I googled short-term plans and found out about eSIM. What are folks suggesting I get or download this is completely brand new to me. I have a five hour layover in a Canadian airport heading to the US to figure this out. Thank you.
