Hey y'all! I'm working on a CSM army based off my second favorite chaos warband, The Scourged. I found their emblem off of SM2 and decided to look into them and fell in love with their story. I already have a 4k+ point Thousand Sons army and I was wondering how Rubric marines fare in CSM armies.

Hey guys! Fairly new here, I'm a Thousand Sons and Imperial Guard Player. I already have about 4k in each army but I want to start something for a Tzeentch cult army. I already have some pretty cool proxy models in mind for all the basic troops (infantry, command squad, weapons teams), but I'm at an impasse for a few things that I would like advice for. (If I should even do another guard army, or just make CSM).
For Ogryns and Bullgryns I haven't really found a very tzeentch-y replacement model (Chaos spawn could work for Bullgryns but I don't want to use them for the others). I'm thinking about putting some Rubric Marines onto Ogryn-sized based and proxy-ing those as them.
Things like tanks and such I might use beasts to give off a more magical feel. Let me know if there are any models you suggest using to fill out the gaps in the army.
Hey guys, I've been testing some detachment shenanigans out and I think I've found a pretty interesting combo with these two detachments. I initially had no hope that Tzaangors would be any good at all, but there are a few things in this list that don't make them GREAT, but funny to pull off.
The two most important things for this combo are: Sorcerer in Terminator Armor (with Braylord Enhancement) and a 20 brick of tzaangors with pistol) Chainswords. I've run this in 10th with some mild success since the sorcerer gives the tzaangors all lethal hits. Which ~60 attacks in melee w/ Lethal is great, however they suffer from no AP. Another issue was even with the 4+ inv Stratagem there was no real way of keeping them around. That was until 11th edition. Ritual of Regeneration alone makes this combo way more viable (not competitively obviously). With RoR AND the "Blessed Transmutations" Stratagem, you're reviving ~3-7 Tzaangor models every turn. (1-3 if you don't want to spend the CP). This is already an upgrade , combine that with the "Mutagenic Magik" stratagem to get some extra wounds, and Warpmeld sacrifice for that +1 to wound. Not necessarily an amazing combo, but one that's really fun imo.
Alternatively you could do something similar with a Tzaangor Shaman + 6 brick of Enlightened. Use a similar strategy or Strategic Reserves them into the enemy backline, then charge into melee with the "Mutagenic Magik" stratagem for an average of 6 mortal wounds total (~12 if you're lucky).
Is this detachment combo worth taking over any of our already good ones? No, not really. But it's one I'm gonna be trying in the future and might have its usefulness as a choke-point and punishing list.
Hey guys! Just checking in with progress on my 30k Warpcoven Killteam. I ended up buying the 30k breachers box and used a good amount of bits from that to give my rubrics a 30k feel.

All of my basic rubrics (aside from icon bearer since I am waiting for a banner that a friend is going to give me) are built up and ready. I started on my Tzaangors (Solar Auxilia) but I'm waiting to get some more 32mm bases to really get them going.

Overall not awful, but seeing point increases on a lot of our characters definitely hurts. The Defilier was expected though.
Hey guys! For my next Thousand Sons project (since I just hit 4k points) I want to switch over to kill team and make a 30k styled Warpcoven squadron. I want to mix the 30k and 40k rubric marines together, keeping the headdress from the 40k rubrics. I also want to kitbash Solar Auxilia to work as the Tzaangors of the group.

Does anyone have any tips or suggestions for this project? I have a good idea on how I want to make the Solar Auxilia, but I'm kinda stumped on the marines.
How do y'all like my kitbashed sorcerer so far? I haven't finished painting yet but I'm really liking how it's turning out so far. I ended up using bits from the exalted kit, aspiring sorcerer, and cataphract terminator legs/torso I had left over.
