Some of you have been following Maxine for a while, so I wanted to share this with you.
This whole journey started because I couldn’t find clothes that actually fit her English Bulldog body. What started with me just wanting a hoodie that fit my own dog turned into months of measurements, samples, changes, mistakes, learning, and trying again.
And now, this is our newest sample and packaging. 🥹
Seeing it all come together like this is honestly hard to put into words. The part that got me the most was seeing the inside of the box end with “Kimberlee & Maxine.”
Because that really is where all of this started.
The sample is finished and on its way to us now. I cannot wait to finally put it on the bulldog who inspired the whole thing and see how it fits.
Of course, Maxine has absolutely no idea she started any of this. She’s just been busy supervising the entire operation. 😂🖤

This girl has no idea how much she has changed my life. What started with me simply trying to solve a problem for her somehow turned into months of learning, measuring, making mistakes, starting over, and refusing to give up.
Today I got these photos, and seeing “Kimberlee & Maxine” inside that box honestly got me.
It ships tomorrow, and I cannot wait for it to finally come home to the bulldog who started all of this.
Of course, Maxine has absolutely no idea what she has done. She’ll probably inspect the box, decide whether it meets her standards, and then go take a nap. 😂

Hey r/Bulldogs — long-time lurker, first-time poster. Wanted to share something I built out of pure frustration.
I rescued Maxine (English Bulldog, 2 years old) about a year ago. She's got the classic bully build: broad chest, thick neck, short back. Every hoodie I bought had the same problems — neck too tight, back too long, fabric bunching everywhere. Nothing fit her body.
After too many returns, I decided to design one myself. I worked with a pattern maker to create a breed-specific fit: wider neck opening, shorter back length, roomier chest and shoulders. Premium heavyweight cotton. No cheap costume vibes.
I ended up producing a small batch to test the design, and it's called True Bully Co. — "built for the bully body." I'm still iterating and figuring out the best way to get it into the hands of other bulldog parents.
I'm not here to spam. I genuinely want to know: what's been your biggest frustration with bulldog clothes? Fit? Quality? Lack of options? I'm still iterating and would love real feedback from people who actually live with these dogs.

Maxine has a 20” neck and a barrel chest and every hoodie we tried was either choking her or hanging off her back like a tent. I ended up designing one specifically for her body type and honestly I can’t believe how different she looks when something actually fits.

Anyone else have this problem finding clothes for their bully?🐶

My English Bulldog Maxine could never fit into regular dog hoodies. Too tight in the chest, too long in the back, neck opening way too small. So I designed one from scratch with her as the fit model — wide neck opening, short back fit, extra chest room, lightweight breathable cotton.
