Jimmy Eat World Eras Tour Style Dream Setlist??

I was thinking the other day...Jimmy Eat World has been there through every era of my life, from junior high school all the way to now in my 40s. Every big moment in my life has a JEW record that coincides with it.

That got me thinking about if they did an Eras Tour similar to Taylor Swift..

What would my IDEAL set list be?? What would yours be? I want to know!

The rules: only 3 songs per era, and 3 non-LP songs. (No, SOMST doesn't count as an album as badly as I want it to🤣)

**It doesn't have to be your favorite songs from each album necessarily, just the ones you would most like to hear live in this kind of setting

Let's see your lists, Fam!

Show Merch Damage?

I got a shirt a few weeks ago when the guys opened for Coheed, brought it home and noticed there's a hole in the armpit 😩

I have no idea if I'm just out $40 at this point, but I reached out to their merch team through their website, who told me theyre just the fulfillment company for the webstore and don't have access to the tour exclusive merch. They were super kind and offered to send me a shirt from the webstore but I was really hoping to get a replacement of shirt I got at the show.

I'm an oldhead and shockingly I've never had this issue arise before despite buying hundreds of shirts over the years- anyone have any experience with this happening in general/advice? I'm guessing I'm out of luck but man when the tshirt cost more than the ticket to the show it sucks when it's damaged lol

Thoughts on a New Album?

This is the longest they've gone without releasing a new album- I know Jim has talked about not being on a time line and that they're always coming up with new stuff, but I've also heard him talk a lot about the belief that people "don't listen to albums anymore" and that music listening habits have changed etc, so that makes me worried that we won't be getting a new album anytime soon... or ever?

SO many fans are consistent in demanding "anniversary shows" which I can imagine can get extremely exhausting for a band who has as many albums as they do that are constantly hitting important anniversary milestones.

I'm honestly fatigued by the later album erasure by more casual fans. I want second half albums tour. (Invented, damage, IB, Surviving) I want a deep cuts and B sides tour. Most of all, I want a new album tour!

Fans obsession with 10th, 20th, 25th anniversary tours for their favorite albums is understandable, but i feel like we don't allow them to grow as artists bc we are SO heavy on the praise of their earlier work.

Idk about yall, but this long time fan wants new music.

Special Interests Change Regularly and It's exhausting!

I've always go head first into my special interests and they become my entire identity. I have no control over this. I suddenly want to start dressing differently, my music taste will change, who I'm attracted to, what i want my future to look like etc, and it ruins friendships, relationships and more.

For example, when I met my now husband I was heavily into Korean culture. This was about 15 years ago. I was planning on moving to Korea to teach English and was actively learning the language and working on my degree so that I could go there. I cooked and ate only Korean foods, and I genuinely felt myself becoming REPULSED by men that weren't Korean. I happened to meet me husband during this time and he was Korean (luckily lol!) And things have been great.

Fast Forward 15 years later and I have ZERO interest in any of those things anymore. It's not that I dislike them but I'm just not interested in any of it anymore. I had a few years where I no longer wanted to live in a city but I wanted to move to a hobby farm and take care of animals and have a big garden and learn to can and preserve foods- all of which i learned and started doing. But now most recently, I've started digging back into the interests I had in high school- alt rock music/ clothing, going to shows, discovering new bands, tattoos and piercings... the complete opposite from my interests just a couple of years ago.

Just like before, I still LIKE all of the other things I just lose interest in pursuing them at some point. I feel like I've learned everything i can and now it's boring? I'm not sure. But I always feel such a high when I'm getting into something new and obsessing over it. Then a few years in I can physically FEEL myself getting burnt out and disinterested and I want to cry because I don't want to keep changing like this but its like I don't have any control over it.

Is anyone else like this? I feel like i must look like such a fraud to people on the outside looking in, but this is just how my brain works. I just wish I could find some hobbies and interests that were nteresting and stick to them! Is this the symptoms of a bigger problem? What can i do to stop doing this?
