My First Networking Event
After taking the advice of a mod on this subreddit today i went on my first networking event, it was an event about managing finance in start ups, the presentation in itself was not the best to be honest i took some notes from it but more than that the people i met which were 3 all completely blew my mind in terms of the misconceptions i had about i guess how things were. I dont want to be too specific but the first individual was a financial advisor who told me very crucial things about the real estate market in dubai and the broader emirates and it basically opened my eyes in terms of opportunities i can do, the next person i talked to worked in a field which was very closely related to my fathers business in my home country Brazil, and he gave me alot of advice in addition to that the third person also other stuff, to be honest i never understood that people would be so helpful and even that this can work, perhaps it's the fact that I'm young and at a lower position than them, but i definetely will be going to more events !
