In need of a recap. :)

Hello! :)

I’ve been obsessed to say the least with the game since day 1. Logged in so many hours, daily sessions, too much money spent in the MLP and Forestbell lol. But about 6-7 weeks ago, I stopped playing cold turkey. Not because I had anything against the game, but because I was under a lot of stress at school, extremely busy with the last big project before graduating and looking for an internship. There was multiple games I wanted to play, but because of fomo, I always prioritized Heartopia which left me no time for the other ones.

Now that I’m halfway through my intership, life is feeling less chaotic, and other games aren’t scratching the itch… I really miss Heartopia. I tried checking the Reddit, googling, etc. But info is all over the place. May I ask for a quick recap of what I missed, what changed, what’s the current event (when do they end?), what’s comming soon, anything that got fixed, known bug, etc. :)

I won’t have time to open the game before either tonight or this weekend, but I wanna to prepare myself to avoid the overwhelming feeling and backtracking lol (thanks adhd).

Looking a specific type of mobile games and I need help

(Yes I did an extensive search on this sub prior to posting this haha).

I used to always run a mobile game or two back when my son was a baby a long time ago, but kinda stopped a few years ago.

I’m now working from home and I need to let my brain breathe for a few minutes here and there. Plus, when watching tv at night, I like having something simple to do at the same time. I’m realizing mobile gaming is not what it used to be, or I don’t know how to look. All I can find are either puzzle games (match, merge, etc) or « real » games. (Not discriminating against mobile games lol, I just mean games that you have to pause / save when you stop and where by not actively engaging, progress won’t happen). I’m not a fan of puzzle games and « real » games won’t do it for my current needs.

I know it was a facebook game and not mobile but to give you an idea I LOVED Happy Pets. On mobile I played and really liked Lil’kingdom up until the end. I played Bakery story and these kind of games. I need something that appeals to me visually so even though Lil’kingdom was a Tiny tower copypaste, I didn’t really get into Tiny tower.

I generally like games where you can start some things for a few minutes and come back later or play longer if you wish to. I like cozy, cutsy vibes and customization is always something that I enjoy.

I tried Cats and soup multiple times and just… can’t find a purpose lol. I also tried Kinder world but there’s nothing to do. I do use Finch, but I don’t concider it a game, it’s a todo list. A fun todo list, but a todo list nonetheless haha. I played Pocket camp for a while but after years it has become too redundant. Not gonna lie, I almost decided to just restart one of my irl tamagotchi but I’m not in a mental place where I can add something that will die if I’m too tired one day. Oh and I recently tried FarmRPG which is seriously great… except for the fact that it’s a menu game and my adhd brain needs more dopamine than that to come back.

I highly prefere portrait games, although I can settle for horizontal if it’s THE perfect game. I don’t mind microtransactions (as long as it’s somewhat reasonnable and not pay to win), I don’t mind paying a flat fee either. But ads… eh. I’m on ios, but I don’t have apple arcade. Although I might stilm have some months to redeem so if your suggestion is on there, don’t let it stop you haha.

Thanks. <3
