First vs second time attempting a human/astartes face.

First one I kind of winged it after watching a couple basic tutorials on YouTube, second I studied a bit more about art and how faces are painted in other art forms (yellow, red, blue, top to bottom), also watched a couple Eric Swinson streams about painting faces. Both probably took 1-2 hours overall, but I think improvement is definitely there.

Tried the “yellow red blue” theory to painting faces and it kinda worked!

Yellow mixed in towards the top, red in middle especially cheeks, blue around chin and mouth. Fairly pleased with the results. I can’t say I ever noticed this in faces by observing them, but adding the colours to the face gives an extra level of realism that I haven’t achieved before
