Before I begin, I want to state that I'm in my late 20s and make a 6 figure salary. I can very much afford my own sets. I want to preface that this take is not coming from someone who is currently in poverty or overly frugal. I don't want my disappointment to come off as whining over inclusion, because I'm too cheap to buy the bricks.

I'm a little disappointed in this community, because while true there is a technical difference between CAD and a real build, (as someone grew up poor) CAD (for many) is often the best (and some times only) option you will have for building your own sets.

There are probably hundreds if not thousands of kids who could not afford a 3rd of the amount of bricks in that set.

For myself, most of my MOC'ing skills came from building sets in LDD on a donated laptop while I was living with my grandmother in a homeless shelter during my elementary school years. As a kid, this was "building," because it was the only option for "building" I had.
