In Vancouver region. Bought a 65inch TV from Costco.ca, the box arrived with visible patches from the outside (should just return it then).

Opened it up, everything seemed to be fine. The protetive film is still on the TV and all the packaging was original. However once hooked to TV, the panel shows a shattered screen (from inside as the outside screen is intact).

Is this bad luck or did Costco sell me a returned TV?

CAD/USD conversion for IPO

Quick question re US IPO. I currently only have CAD in my account. If I subscribe to a US IPO (such as SpaceX), does all my CAD get converted to USD, or does only the necessary amount to purchase the allocation gets converted?

I want to participate in the IPO but I don't want to have all my CAD converted to USD under the current FX rate. Thanks.
