Our jobs as we know them are temporary now, things will change.

The transition involves a few key operational shifts:
Outsourced Warehouse Operations: Frito-Lay and PepsiCo are offloading warehouse operations and logistics at large distribution centers to Capstone Logistics.

Impacted Employees: The transition to external logistics providers has resulted in significant workforce reductions and layoffs for Frito-Lay’s in-house warehouse staff at major facilities.

Streamlined Roles: Alongside outsourced warehousing, Frito-Lay is restructuring its sales force, shifting away from Route Sales Representatives (RSRs) toward specialized merchandising duties to save labor and transportation costs.

Operational Integration: In some regional markets, Frito-Lay and Pepsi are co-locating into joint distribution centers managed directly by Capstone.

Edit: IF IM SO WRONG ABOUT THIS JUST ASK YOUR DSL TODAY WHAT A “MDS” its a new position being posted in some pecs. I know several people who have taken the position. Its hourly btw.

Please stop coming into the Frito sub to talk down on us!

Frito lay is literally carrying this whole company on its shoulders and im tired of you pepsi guys thinking you’re better than us. Most of you guys are literally just merchandising. Im constantly hearing/ seeing the pepsi guys bickering about how Pepsi supposedly is more profitable than frito when that couldnt be farther from the truh. Just so that every all you pepsi guys are aware this is what ai has to say:

PepsiCo Foods North America (Frito-Lay) generates the most profit by a massive margin. [1, 2]
Despite beverages bringing in comparable or higher top-line revenues, the snack foods division operates on significantly higher profit margins, effectively acting as the primary engine for the entire corporation's bottom line. [1, 2]

Profit Contribution by Segment
According to data from the PepsiCo 2025 Annual Report, the breakdown of total reported segment operating profit is as follows: [1]
PepsiCo Foods North America (Frito-Lay): 46%
Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA): 15%
Latin America Foods: 15%
International Beverages Franchise: 13%
PepsiCo Beverages North America: 8%
Asia Pacific Foods: 3% [1]

Why Snacks Dominate Profits
Double the Margin: The profit margin for Frito-Lay is nearly double that of the North American beverage sector. For every dollar of product sold, snacks yield far higher returns.
Pricing Power: PepsiCo holds a dominant market share in the savory snacks industry, allowing it greater flexibility to adjust prices without losing consumer volume.
Lower Commodity and Distribution Pressures: Heavy liquid beverages cost much more to transport, require continuous refrigeration infrastructure, and face tight competition from grocery store generic brands. [1, 2].
Here are the reported totals from 2025 tax documents available online.

Frito-Lay (Snacks)
Operating Profit: $5.3 billion
Profit Share: 46% of total company profit

Pepsi Beverages
Operating Profit: $920 million
Profit Share: 8% of total company profit

Just stop thinking anyone is better than any one and treat everyone with respect!
