What is the market rate for marketing in Singapore?

F27 diploma holder. Was looking to get some advice on market rate for marketing roles in Singapore.

My current pay is:
Basic: 2.5k
Gross monthly: around 2.9k including bonuses/allowances

My progression so far :
2.2k → 3k → 2.5k

I went from developing content for school to doing content for sme. I have about 2years ++ of experience overall. Just completed WSDIP and have experience in marketing-related work.

I’m planning to look for my next role soon and wanted to ask:

What would be a realistic salary range to negotiate for?

Edit: I’m not too sure if it’s reasonable for me to ask for a 3.2k basic salary for my next role, but that’s the range I’m considering.

Bachelor of General Studies (Part Time)

I’m considering taking this course and would like to hear from people who have studied it before. It seems to be an ideal course as I could pick the modules to learn, as compared to some programmes.

How was your experience with the course overall? Was the curriculum useful? Also, did it help with career progression or job opportunities after graduation?

I’m planning to apply for roles in digital marketing/communications, and I’ve noticed that many of the jobs I’m interested in list a degree in marketing / equivalent as a requirement. It’s making me wonder if getting a degree would improve my chances.

I recently came across a top-up Marketing degree from Kaplan that can be completed in about 8 months, so I’m considering whether it’s worth pursuing.

I already have some background and experience in marketing, so I’m not sure if a degree is really necessary, or if experience alone might be enough. At the same time, since a degree seems to be a minimum requirement for many roles, I’m worried I might get filtered out without one.

Has anyone been in a similar situation? Did getting a degree help with your job applications, or were you able to break into the field without it?
