Edit: no pvp mmo vr or turn based :)

How do you normalize game audio?

I made a video, but I can't figure out how to normalize sounds in it. There are a lot of clips, each with different volumes (some with loud gunshots, for example, and others with just ambient sound). That's why auto normalization isn't working, and every time I adjust the sliders, the sound is crap. How do you fix this? Or do you do nothing at all? And how to test volume overall?

How to make a colored border on a cropped video?

https://preview.redd.it/l34wtx5ywh0h1.png?width=1321&format=png&auto=webp&s=b189c1e0539ee16339b4911191fbcc548a8b26aa

I have a video that I cropped on all sides, leaving only a small section in the middle. I need to create a colored border, but when I select this effect from the effects list, it applies to the borders of the original video, not the section I cropped. How to fix?

Hello everyone. I'm completely lost and don't know how to achieve optimal quality for my recorded PC gameplay. I record in 1080p and then upscale it to 1440p. But I have no idea what bitrate to export at. The answers I found online are completely different. Some say a 20,000 bitrate is enough, while others say at least 80,000 is needed. I don't have the opportunity to test different options and evaluate them visually. So, my only hope is you. What options do you use for exporting video? Constant or variable bitrate? Or maybe constant QP? I need both static and action scenes to look as good as possible, with file size being a lower priority.

Hi everyone. I've been using DaVinci Resolve 20 for a long time, and today, out of curiosity, I switched to 21 (the free version).

I always exported my videos with the settings shown in the screenshot on the left (constant QP). But in the new version, this option is gone? Now there's only constant or variable bitrate. And some "quality" preset. What does this even mean? It doesn't even specify a bitrate. Is this normal? Is there a way to have constant QP back? For me, these were the perfect settings for my YouTube videos.
