This is the story of ELO SATAN

I main jungle. In the lobby someone is hovering Master Yi support. I think maybe he is just trolling. He locks Master Yi support. The count down starts. It gets to zero. Fuck.

We get into the loading screen and I see gold borders and one silver border who is on my team. I'm like, okay this game is going to be off the rails because I haven't seen gold/silver borders in a while, and I am the only Emerald player in the lobby. Also, the Master Yi's username is ELO SATAN #69420. Lol fuck me, right?

We play the game and this Master Yi carries it. He goes 20/5/8 and out damages me on Shyvana Jungle. I thought maybe he was just a jungle main who picked Yi because he didn't want to support, but he actually mains Master Yi in the support role. He has over 300 games on this champion and wins 54% of the time lol.

I was fucking crying laughing at the absurdity of this game as it was happening. We won and it was the best game I'll ever play in my life.

Good late game item on Jungle Nasus?

I've been playing him recently in Emerald and I play him as a tank with Trinity Force > Mercs > Deadman's Plate > Sterak's > Situational Tank item (maybe JakSho or Omen if enemies have crit).

Last item I'm having trouble with because my games don't normally get to a 6th item, but when they do it absolutely blows to play Nasus because his power spike is in the mid game.

I was thinking maybe Terminus to give him a little Armor and MR and some penetration effects. But idk, it just doesn't feel right. Maybe I should go with Heart of Steel (or whatever it is) to deal %HP damage to enemies?

I know some people play crit Nasus, but I find it's too squishy and would rather stick to the tank/bruiser build.

I'm an Emerald 3 jungler, so take this for what you will, but I prefer to never have comms on so I don't get baited by bad pings.

So how do I play without pings from teammates? Three things:

[1] Learn to read the mini map. I often spent 30% of the time just looking at the mini map as I move around the map. I can see wards, flashes, priority, everything. Instead of relying on a teammate's ping for a gank, you can just look at the map, identify a good position, and then act on it.

[2] Read the score board to see who is strong and who is weak. You can detect this based on CS, KDA, and item builds. I would say that item builds are the best indicator of strength as items represent the current "power" a champion has. Checking relative levels is also helpful as each champion gets lots of stats per level in the game. So this way instead of your losing top laner asking for a gank and you listening to him, you can just say "oh my mid is strong and their mid has no mobility, let me gank him" and then boom you averted a bad play and made a good play without getting baited.

[3] Use the F keys to pan to specific champions as you move around the map. If you're uncomfortable doing this, just click on the mini map where your allies are and then after a few seconds press space to reset your camera. You want to get used to doing this as you need to be able to see how fights develop as you approach for a flank or a gank.

Realize the psychology of players is not only to win the game, but to destroy the enemy. A lot of laners would rather you help them destroy their enemy rather than full clear you jungle, or contest a dragon, or gank another lane where you have a higher chance of success. This is why you must mute pings guys.

I've been running the AD Shyvana build today. I copied my first 3 items from Citirc (Trinity into Shojun and omnivamp boots). I think this is going to be nerfed.

The problem is the omnivamp boots. They allow champions who would otherwise run Conqueror to run PTA. The boots are also super cheap, which means you can get your lvl 2 boots and then rotate into your 2nd item much faster than other champions.

And all this combined with the fact they buffed Shyvana's ability CDR makes for a super strong champion in this current patch. I think as long as you know how to ult in properly and you know to ban Sylas, you'll generally do well.

And to make matters worse for opponents facing Shyvana, her AP build is also viable with the exact same runes (PTA + Support secondaries). So running Graves/Nasus into a Shyvana anticipating a hybrid/AD build won't work as well as she will drop AP nukes and still deal significant true damage with Q3.
