As a ponnu, I want a husband with a cleaner past. Do men accept women who are not virgins? Is this primitive thinking?

25F from Chennai. My family has started looking for an arranged marriage for me, and I’ve been thinking a lot about compatibility and past relationships.

Personally, I would prefer a partner with a relatively clean and peaceful past, mainly because I want a stable and healthy marriage. But at the same time, I also understand that many people today — both men and women — may have had previous relationships, and that alone doesn’t make someone a bad person.

As a woman, I sometimes wonder: do men in arranged marriages usually accept a girl who is not a virgin? Or is expecting a “clean past” considered too conservative or unrealistic nowadays?

I’m not trying to judge anyone. I’m just genuinely confused about how people think today, especially in Chennai arranged marriage setups.

Also, how do people verify compatibility and character before marriage? Has anyone used background checks or detective agencies? Is that common or a bad idea?

Would appreciate honest opinions from both men and women.

Vijay Wave = Modi 2014 Wave

Vadakans are elevating Vijay to PM-level politics. I’ve been noticing it across social media, and it honestly feels similar to the 2014 Modi wave. The Vijay wave seems to have already started, and this looks like the same kind of strategy used by political strategist Prashant Kishor.

I’m sure this could have a major impact on Rahul Gandhi and the Indian National Congress campaign for the 2029 PM elections.

Do you think Vijay can actually become PM one day?

Vadakans: “எதுக்குடா அவனைத் தொட்டா அவன் சுடு தண்ணிலேயே கைய விடுவான், உன்னை சும்மாவா விடுவான்?”

Madurai Kuttu Story: The Missing ₹200 Crore

One fine day, a one of the powerful man in Madurai realized that ₹200 crore had gone missing.

Shock!! Panic!! Chaos!!

He sent all his loyal minions searching everywhere, but nobody could find the money. Finally, he approached the “king” of Madurai for help. As a friendly gesture, the king allegedly ordered his police force and people under him to investigate.

Days passed.

The money wasn’t found.

But the person behind it was identified.

A lawyer.

Not just any lawyer!! one allegedly backed by the Central powers.

Now things became interesting.

Negotiations started between the state side, central side, and all the powerful people involved behind closed doors.

Finally, a settlement was reached.

The lawyer allegedly agreed to return only ₹150 crore.

Because if pressure continued, he would supposedly unleash ED raids on the very person he stole from.

“Thirudanukku thel kottuna maari” — the powerful man in Madurai couldn’t even complain loudly without exposing himself 😂

And that’s the end of today’s kuttu story.

Time for Anil’s (Vijay’s supporters ) to evolve beyond state politics

I think it’s time for Anil’s —those who backed Vijay—to evolve from state politics and start engaging in national politics and geopolitics. You already have a well-established community and the tools to influence more than just local elections.

This isn’t about Vijay for PM—just shifting focus from fandom to national issues.

As Anup Chandrasekharan, a Bangalore-based media strategist, said:

"Probably this was the first election in India that was won almost entirely with the help of social media. By cleverly using YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and other platforms. – BBC

If online support can change state politics, it can change India too!!!

Why Are Vijay and the PM Avoiding Press Conferences?

Freedom of speech means nothing if leaders only speak through scripted statements and never face real questions.

Why has CM Vijay not held a press conference yet since assuming office (Padhavi Erpu)? The same goes for India’s PM.

Real leaders answer uncomfortable questions. Instead, we get interviews with friendly anchors, while many reporters behave like they are there to polish politicians’ shoes instead of doing real journalism.

When reporters stop asking tough questions, the public loses its voice too. The media should challenge power, not worship it.
