Chane and the new Viserai in SAGE post-IAR
We haven't seen all the new cards from IAR yet, but I was thinking about picking up the new Viserai SAGE precon. However, looking at the new 0-cost cards playable from the banish zone, I started wondering if it wouldn't just be better to run them in Chane instead.
The new Viserai banishes cards conditionally and requires yet another condition to trigger "traverse" to give go again to your next attack (which needs to have Blood Debt). After that, if you want to go back to banishing cards, there's another condition to activate traverse and flip back to his main side. It's true that the new cards feature the Usurp mechanic, but whenever I try to map out lines to use Usurp in SAGE, I keep thinking of cards that really need go again—and Chane just enables that way better than the new Viserai, across a wider variety of card types. Viserai's only real upside seems to be that his banish engine is more predictable.
The heavy overlap between these two heroes is almost making me think that Chane—even though he's nowhere near as dominant as people expected—might get benched by LSS.
What do you think?
Chanon Puttaree wins Calling Bangkok with Briar
Chanon Puttaree takes down Calling Bangkok with Briar after an incredible run.
Huge congrats as well to runner-up Colin Li. Before making it to the finals, he had to dodge a minefield during the 11 Swiss rounds, spending 5 whole rounds facing Enigma's 3 worst matchups in SAGE (3 Fai, 1 Dromai, 1 Lexi) and still pulling off an insane 4-1 record
Calling Bangkok Conversion SAGE
Oscilio had an insane conversion rate. I was really surprised by Bravo's conversion too. Overall, Warriors seem to be on the rise, and Olympia's gameplay during the coverage completely blew me away

What do you all think the power levels look like in SAGE right now?
Personally, I would have definitely swapped Blaze with Oscilio, and I’d move Aurora down a tier.
What are your thoughts for the Skirmish season?
Enigma vs Gravy Bones SAGE
Hi! I’ve played around a hundred games with a pretty stock version of Enigma (this one: https://fabrary.net/decks/01KV7TZMH9VAS570MEJ2Y9RMMX).
However, I’m really struggling to approach the Gravy Bones matchup correctly. I’ve won a few games, but I think it was mostly against less experienced players.
Is it an issue with my list, or am I just missing some gameplay "tricks"/fundamentals?
Cammino neocatecumenale
Chane post-ban
I played Vynnset in Silver Age for the entire last season. Along with Iyslander, Vynnset was the deck I performed best with, so I’d like to think I know how to pilot it well, even if I'm not a veteran. All this to say, I'm already very familiar with the Runegate mechanic and the Runeblade archetype in general.
After the recent bans, I decided to switch to Chane, who is widely considered a powerhouse and a highly polarizing hero. I picked up the most recent post-ban community lists from Fabrary, but I just can't seem to feel that level of power everyone talks about. Honestly, Vynnset felt like she was better at both attacking and defending.
What could be the reason behind this?
Am I just not skilled enough to pilot Chane? Are the current lists not fully optimized yet? Or did the bans actually succeed in keeping his power level in check?
