To MBA or not to MBA
Hi there,
I work in biotech on the technology side. I build shit that helps patients and sites. I have a BS in public health.
I’m currently an executive director of product at a small solution provider company.
I make about $200k.
I want to make about $300k+
I feel like in order to continue growing into higher paying roles, my education is going to be a thing.
I’ve been looking at online MBAs; Boston University, George Mason University or Eastern University. I know they all have pros and cons, but I want an affordable program that is more or less self paced. I don’t have time or energy for a lot of group projects, so I feel like Eastern or even WGU are my best bets.
Question to the community. Is an MBA really going to help me get to the salary band I want? I’m making great money now, but I feel like private equity companies start looking at credentials when they consider promotions. And I want to set myself up for success.
