6 MONTH SOUNDCORE R60i REVIEW

For the doubters, here are my credentials (lol)

Airpods Pro (1st gen)

Airpods Pro (2nd gen)

Airpods 4 (ANC)

Samsung Galaxy Buds (first gen)

Samsung Galaxy Buds+

Samsung Galaxy Buds 2

Haylou T19’s

Redmi Buds 5

Soundcore R50i

Soundcore R50i NC

Souncore R60i NC

(not all of those are on the third photo, lost a lot of these on the bus and school lol)

I got my R60’s during November of Last year (2025) I was super excited, especially since I was using the R50i NC’s at that time (I had sold my Airpods 4 ANC’s) compared to it’s predecessor (The R50i NC’s) it was a completely differnet pair of buds.

Build Quality 9/10: Plastic felt a lot more premium, compared to the R50i NC’s that felt hollow, these felt firm, had better weight as well, made it feel a lot more premium, It lost the stand (I used it a lot haha) but it didn’t annoy me that much, also liked the Matte finish, it just scratched over time (completely normal)

Sound Quality 10/10: These were such a huge step up from the R50i NC’s! The R50’s sounded very dull (even with EQ adjustments) but the R60i’s sounded like 100 dollar+ Earbuds, The EQ I made was done to mimic my Airpods 4 ANC, I was able to feal some base, and hear the clarity of the audio, the 11mm Drivers did a great job with making the Earbuds sound super premium for it’s affordable price, 6 months later and I still have no issues

ANC/Transparency 8/10: The ANC for the price is also amazing! (But then again it already blocks a lot of light noise without the ANC) it’s up to 52db compared to the 42db on the R50i NCs, when I tell you that the ANC on these are no joke for the price, I’m being very fr, used these a lot for commutes, and I couldn’t hear 85-90% of the usual noise, chirping passengers, the bus engine, traffic, etc, the extra added mics did a fantastic job blocking the noise, I couldn’t even hear the conductor at times which got me into trouble lol, the transparency on the other hand needs a bit more adjustment, I can still feel it somewhat blocking my hearing with transparency on, sometimes I have trouble hearing things even with transparency on so I just take them off my ears, transparency’s probably a 6.5-7/10 (this is only because I’ve tried earbuds with better transparency) but for the price, I’d rate it around 8/10.

Connectivity: 6/10: This is where I start to have some issues (do keep in mind that I use an IPhone, that’s also the reason why I didn’t talk about LDAC on the sound quality) I use an IPhone and an Apple watch on the daily, I get connectivity issues especially when I’m using/wearing both devices at the same time, like when I watch a youtube video on my Phone, my earbuds would randomly connect to my apple watch and it would make an irritating sound (like a tiny explosion) that would annoy me all the time, sometimes only one earbud would disconnect, and the other would continue to play the video I’m watching, when I go for runs, sometimes my earbuds would also disconnect from my watch (when I don’t have my phone with me) which is also a bummer, I don’t know if android/google os watch users suffer from these connectivity issues though, that’s kind of my biggezt ick with the buds.

Battery 10/10: Even with ANC or Transparency on I still get around 6-7 hours worth of total usage time on these, around 60-70% audio with ANC or Transparency and 30-40% on just ANC in the College Library, one time I even left my case by accident and I literally lasted me the whole day lol, exceptional battery life. (this is 6 months into ownership)

Overall rating 8.5-9/10: Without the connectivity issues these would definetely be a 10/10, these have to be one of the best bang for you buck earbuds to date, without a doubt you guys should get these if you don’t have them yet, especially if you’re looking for great sound quality on a budget. I got these for around 1100 php (less than 20usd) during it’s release date, I was super lucky since these were around 2k php (33 usd) on other stores online, and if you bought it on a physical store, it would cost you around 2.5k (40 usd) but now these are on sale everywhere and you can easily get these for below 1.5k php (25 usd) worth every penny!

Got these for 92 USD converted! Marketplace steal!

I’m from the Philippines, I’ve always wanted a premium pair of headphones, I’ve had my fair share of premium earphones, Airpods Pros, Base model Airpods, Soundcores, etc. But I never really ever got a pair of the Airpods Max because even the second hand prices were too high for me (I’m a first year college student)

Fast forward to a couple of month later, while I was scrolling at 3 in the morning I saw a post on FB marketplace, a pair of Airpods Max’s for 6700 Philippine Pesos, around 111 USD converted, It seemed super sketchy at first, the photos posted were well taken, plus it was still under warranty, dude said it also comes with a box, though I was skeptical, I messaged him, I asked him if they were genuine or not (didn’t want to buy it if they weren’t) he said wasn’t sure “they were a gift and I only used it for Airplane travels” I asked him if we could meet up, good thing was that we live both just around the Ateneo area.

After texting, we immediately met at a coffee shop in Ateneo, Coffeepaste, then I got to try out the pair, checked all the serials, the materials, everything was all good, what even made it crazier was that it was the Type-C version! Also I double checked the warranty and they were indeed originals! He even gave me a discount, 5500php which is around 91-92USD converted, he seemed pretty well off, that was also probably why he sold them for a lot less than the market value, we talked for a bit and I got him matcha as a nice gesture for the discount lol, he was nice and friendly, now I have a pair of Airpods Max’s that I can larp around the jeepney haha!
