Beginner Mini Split to learn

I have a classic Seattle 4 square from 1907. My partner is warming to the idea of a mini split but hates the idea of something that looks like a printer hanging from the ceiling. If we do a DIY system for the entire house we would need all the form factors on deck. For now I just want to put a small one in the attic office space to learn how to do it. I really like the Pioneer models but am open to what people in this thread think. I see bizarrely cheap ones on Ali Express a lot. Also does the Pioneer Qwik E Vac work of should I just learn to pull a vacuum, or only buy pre charged lines.

Weight vs Volume on Front Load washing machines

I need help understanding why a speed queen or Asko at 3.5 and 2.8 cu ft respectively claim to have a higher capacity than a 5.0 cu ft LG when you factor in weight of laundry. Is this marketing fluff? I am ISA based. I just need a reliable front loader that can handle lots of towels or a king size comforter, and when I wash my wrinkle free dress shirts not age them.

Is my Dishwasher at its end of service life?

I’m replacing the high limit thermostat today on my 5 year old kitchenaid and I’m wondering how much longer I realistically have. We are medium users 1-2 loads a day. My partner is in the camp that dishwashers are for sanitizing only not cleaning. Does it make sense to start watching Costco for a Miele or Asko? I can get a discount through work on GE and I’m intrigued by Monogram (is the bottle wash useful, are 90 jets better?)
