Selling my car at Las Vegas Carmax

I got an online offer from Carmax for the lower end of what I wanted for my car and made an appointment. I chose "express" and uploaded my docs. It did ask for a selfie, but I included another photo of my DL instead and continued to set appt. I rescheduled it probably 4 times, easily. I saw online that Carmax may adjust the offered price after an in-person appraisal, and called customer service to see if I could swing by to get the offer price firmed up seperate from the date of sale. He said I sure could, no problem.

I swung by that afternoon, and had a confusing conversation with a sales rep after a little time, where he explained that if they were to go appraise the car they would have to withdraw the online offer and that the online offer was basically a guarantee. He had a printed out appraisal form with him with my online offer on it. Eventually, he said it was a guarantee. I wasn't sure if he was blowing smoke, and I returned two days later as a walk in (hours before my appt time) with my docs. I went to the service counter, then was asked to wait in the chairs by the individual desk. I waited maybe 10-15 mins for the friendly woman to have me sign a few forms.

I signed 3-4 forms, including the title. I do still have to notify the DMV from the state the car is registered in to cancel registration. One of the forms was the odometer reading which made me nervous because I had put a few more miles on the car from the date of online appraisal. However, she made a comment about the staff getting the odometer reading from the car. I said "how do they know where I parked the car?" and she asked "they didn't have you bring it to service?" I asked for copies of the forms and I didn't get them, but I am so tired today I forgot to follow up on my request.

She went away twice, once to check the current odometer reading from the employee, and at one point to get my lyft. She had me write down the address and my phone number for the Lyft. I was glad that I brought cash with me so I could tip my Lyft driver. I was out in less than 30 mins.

About the bank draft: It looks a lot like a check. I was told that mobile deposit would accept it, but just to be safe I took mine into the bank, even though it meant I had to sell the car a couple of days earlier than I wanted to. Happy to share any more details if they would be of interest.

Moving Country and Completely Overwhelmed

Hey Expats! I'm leaving my country in about 6-8 weeks and have a caretaker role that demands a lot of my time. Although I have taken a series of steps to get more organized (adding tasks to calendar, making a trello board) I feel completely overwhelmed and unmanageable. Can anyone share what helped them manage life while prepping to move abroad?
