Just completed 3rd yr btech

Category: General

10th: 92%

12th: 84%

Btech : 7.3(approx after graduation) (tier 1 college)

I am yet to sit for my placements

According to me, I can definitely get a min of 10Lpa ctc

And max 20lpa ctc

Should I join a job

Or should I go for Cat

I am pretty sure I can get 98-99 percentile +

Will I get a good college?

And after 2 yrs of it will I get a better package relative to the current scenario?

Currently I am doing a product management internship ( if I get a ppo it will be around 13-15 lpa)

21M, moving to Bangalore in July for a 6 month internship. Never been to Bangalore before and honestly don’t know what to expect apart from traffic memes and expensive PGs 💀

Would love some genuine advice from Bangalore people:

\- things I should know before moving

\- areas to stay/avoid

\- how to survive the traffic + weather + expenses

\- good ways to network and meet people outside office

\- what do young working people usually do after office hours/weekends here?

Also how hard is it to make friends in Bangalore if you’re new to the city? Most of my friends will still be in college while I’ll be here alone for 6 months.

'23 batch guy from Hyderabad Campus here. I haven't been able to stay in touch with many '22 batch seniors recently. While a few of my close seniors managed to land good offers, I'm out of the loop on how things are looking on a larger scale across the campus given the market situation. Could any seniors give a realistic overview of how the overall placement season has gone for the graduating batch?

I also need a bit of a reality check for my own planning. Here’s my situation:

• Branch: Core
• Current CG: Floating around 6.7-6.9 right now.
• Expected CG: Should comfortably cross the 7.3+ mark after my PS-2 grading.
• Target: Sitting for non-tech placements on-campus in 4-2 (Hyderabad).

Given a 7.3+ CG post-PS, is it realistic to expect a 1 LPM (in-hand/gross) role in non-tech (Analytics/Consulting/Product/Finance) on-campus, or has the cutoff bar shifted drastically?

Would appreciate any insights on how non-tech cutoffs and packages have been behaving this year. Thanks in advance!
