Has anyone else noticed since the fall of Epstein “elite pedophile rings being exposed by survivors” has become a major recurring theme in thrillers?

This book has a child trafficking ring being exposed and a secret assassin who went to Harvard, had to hide his Jewish background, had multiple names, infiltrated elite circles based on money skills, and had a child rape incident hand waved away in the Virgin Islands. At that point why not just call the character “Leffrey Mepstein.” It’s like once Epstein died all thriller writers all realized child sex ring run by elites of society was untapped ground. This one came out a little over a year after Epstein died.

Just got a new phone. Trying to connect headphones to phone but can’t get them on. WH-1000XM6

I’m trying to turn them on to pair them but evidently they won’t turn on. I go onto the app and it says not connected. I can’t get them on to add them via Bluetooth but they don’t show up to pair. Tried charging them but can’t get them to connect. Anyone experience this problem?

I don’t know if many of you have read the Lisa Gardner Detective D.D. Warren series but in the later books Warren encounters a young girl who was held captive and sexually abused by a man for over a year. He would keep her in a coffin as he drove his truck around the country. The young woman, Flora Dane, eventually becomes a recurring character in the series as she learns to work through her trauma as Warren’s CI. This book I’m reading now is a series where the main character is a forensic psychologist who eventually takes in a young woman who was found hidden in a house with the long deceased body of her abuser. Among other things is the young victim learning how to trust her new acquaintance and how doing so goes against the things her abuser taught her. Like Spider-Man 3 said, it seems a bit familiar.
