sleeping is so fucking hard

idk how ya'll do this shitt. especially in a hammock. tent is possible but still seems hard for some reason. the only sleep i have been able to get on the road so far is on hard ground (concrete, asphalt, wood) idk wtf is wrong with me. i was prepared for the hunger, the blisters, the bugs, the sweat, but i was not prepared for this level of sleep deprivation. i was not prepared for being nowhere near a good sleeping spot, and being too tired to even figure out where to go, let alone go there.

also my friend ditched me and now im stranded. what a guy

how hard is it to hitch out of big cities?

thinking about taking a greyhound to chicago, then milwaukee, then hitching back home. how hard is it to get out of those two cities? I've heard bad things about getting stuck in cities.

I can't stop accidentally driving home

How do I stop doing this? no exaggeration I do this usually every single time I have to go more than one place. I go to the first place, but then instead of going to second place I just go home.. It's starting to actually piss me off. And today I actually said "okay, I'm done here, Now I need to go to the store and not fucking drive home again" and then I drove home.

I've had this problem since I got a car but I never used to make it ALL the way home. Like I would start going the wrong direction and be like oh shit. But now it seems like I'm just getting all the way home, sometimes walk all the way up to my apartment before I realize. My memory in general has been really bad lately.. but google said this is normal. so wondering what ya'll do if you had this issue.

I'm thinking about getting back into bmx, but I'm wondering if my knees are up for it?

Thinking about getting back into bmx but I'm not sure how hard it is on the knees. I was practically invincible when I was younger so I don't really remember how it affected my knees at all. My knees don't hurt or anything but sometimes they feel a little weak/sore. For example when going down the stairs, its kinda uncomfortable for me to do that little jog thing that most people do, even though I can. I also tried to get back into skateboarding a while ago, and was unable to. tbf I instantly started trying to commute 3 miles home from work every night, but man that shit fucking killed my knee (the one you put your weight on) It was rough. I did it for a while anyway though.

For context I'm 20 and work 12 hour shifts in a factory, thankfully I get to walk around all day though. At my old job I worked 8 hour shifts standing completely still. For about 2 years. I currently regularly bike around town on a mtb, and when I first started biking again about 2 years ago it hurt my knees, but they became fine after a couple of months. I know you guys aren't doctors but I'm not going to go see one lmao.

I would be using this bike to mostly cruise around town all day, and do some simple street bmx. manuals, 180s, small stairsets and drops, stuff like that. I have no problem peddling standing up in fact its a habit I can't seem to break even with my current bike set up super comfortably.

I wish there was a way I could like try out a bike for a week or two and see If I could get back into it or not but idk how I could do that.

what are the chances i get my package tomorrow chat

been at a distribution center 1 hour away from me since saturday morning. its wednesday today. im going on a trip and was thinking of either leaving tonight or in the morning. tonight is slightly preferable, but i really really want my package. i can pick it up from the post office. why the fuck has it been at the dc for 5 whole fucking days. it actually says on the tracking that it made it to my town, but when i called them they said that it hasn't, they said its still at the dc. this has never happened to me in my life fr. never had something be somewhere longer than 2 days.

what are ya'lls opinions on this? what odds do you give me being able to get it tomorrow.

Is it possible to live in the city and work manufacturing?

Im young and I'm tired of living in the middle of nowhere. I feel like manufacturing jobs rarely exist in the cities because the cost of living is high and they don't want to pay their employees appropriate wages. I do not want to commute over 25 miles
