Experimenting with charcoal going for semi realistic/ abstract look done the shading bit to how dark I want do I use graphite to work in detail or ???

About a month into learning

I’m new to painting this was gouache unfinished and is Scottish highlands I’m colourblind and need help with textures and colours any advice and criticism is welcome

I am red green colourblind and struggle matching to my background I am drawing a picture from my trip to Scotland and want feedback on colour choice and painting technique this at the moment is unfinished I’m new to painting (a month) new to gouache (a month too) and would appreciate feedback and colour conversations

Be super honest what do you think of this.

My head says this is supposed to a boat drawn into a storm hoping to ride it out.

I am colour blind deuteranopia protanopia new to painting used gouache paint. Took my glasses off hoping to possibly change the outcome

Would like any tips for abstract stuff, if the colours are okay, is it too detailed not detailed enough etc I don’t know… I’m new!!
