Please drop down your merit position of you got into Electrical Engineering Islamabad.

I have got MP of 1443 and haven't got into SEECS EE 😭😭😭

Assalamualaikum, while applying PIEAS didn't asked for preferences, even though the option was there but it was not working. Moreover now that according to the latest merit list metallurgy and material science is closed at approximately 890 while my merit number is 843. So how does this work?

I have a merit position of 1110 . Do I have a chance to get into PIEAS electrical engineering.

I am a Alevel student from Karachi. I want to do Electrical Engineering

I have confirmed my self finance seat in NED and waited for the results elsewhere. I got a 603 merit number in GIKI and a 73.3% aggregate in NUST. (I am biased to go to NUST Islamabad)

I am really praying that my name comes in NUST islamabad EE. However I am told what with this aggregate I am boarderline for EE in Islamabad and the name might come in 8th and 9th merit list. ( If I am eligible in islamabad). But the last date to submit the fees in GIKI to confirm my seat is TOMORROW.

After a very abrupt and IDK what kind of discussion with my father he has gone to pay the admission fee.

Now my question is that even if I dont get into NUST islamabad I will certainly get into NUST Karachi and according to some people which I have asked the value of the degree is the same as the awarding body is the same. Should I go to GIKI if I cant go to NUST Islamabad? is it worth the money ( the degree would cost me 18 to 20 lacs more than Nust islamabad)? Or should I just go to NUST Karachi if the value of the degree is the same as Nust islamabad which is compared to the degree of GIKI most of the time. Secondly, I look to pursuemy masters abroad and I have heard that NUST is more internationally recognised so why not PNEC NUST ( karachi ) over GIKI. I know that Nust Karachi won't give me the campus life or the level of education, but if we look at the degree value.

ahhh MAN... SO if should i prefer GIKI over NUST Karachi (PNEC) considering the fact that is quite expensive. For me the fee structure NUST islamabad's fee structure feels OK but GIKI just makes me think that after completing the degree when I apply for jobs or for abroad and if then I find that the degree's value doesnt turns out to be that extraordinary so then why pay such a premium.

Kindly reply please 🙏🙏. Even If its just the name of the university (GIKI or NUST PNEC or NED) (NUST islamabad is my first preference if i get in)

Nevertheless I would now have to pay the admission fees in 3 different institutes. NUST (so that i could w8 for the other lists) GIKI and NED. and have to lose 2 of the admission fees as they are not refundable 😭.

I got 135 in my NET 4. My overall aggregate is 73.3.

Is this good enough to get me into Electrical engineering in islamabad?

I have read that last time the aggreagate closed at 70.6 for EE in ISL SEECS.( though not official). Really appreciate if someone guides me whether I should keep some expectations or not and how much time will I get before I can cancel my admission in other university admission.(assuming my name doesnt comes in the first and second merit list).

I would be very grateful if someone tell me an accurate website for calculating my alevel equivalence. The calculators I have found online doesn't seem acurate . Thankyou
