Recent poor fuel economy

Hi I’ve been dealing with poor fuel economy lately I used to average 37 mpg at 77 mph on my way to work and about 32 on the way back. And now I’m getting 33-35 on my way there and 28 sometimes on the way back I first thought it was a sticky caliper but I checked all the brakes and them seem to wearing evenly and I could spin the rotors on all sides. I am stage 1 low torque tuned by IE and I only run top tier gas. I changed my plugs around 15,000 miles ago so I’m probably gonna go toward inspecting those. I also admit at the time of changing the plugs I had basically just gotten the car from the dealer and they didn’t tell me I was tuned so I didn’t gap them correctly. I put Bosch oem spec plugs. I did also notice an mpg drop after the Bosch plugs went in but eventually attributed that to the wrong gap. I also will inspect the valves for carbon I am currently at 75,000 miles. Any other suggestions on what could be causing this?

Help!!! coolant temp gauge rise

Hello I was driving home from work when I saw a mk8 gti and he wanted to run it so we were cutting up and absolutely killing it on the highway (Mexico of course) anyways toward the end I saw my engine temp gauge rise up to like 3/4s this immediately scared the shit outta me and I slowed down immediately. The temp gauge then immediately dropped back down to normal level. I am stage 1 low torque tuned by I.E. and I am at 75k miles.I didn’t see any coolant leaks and as soon as I returned to normal driving the gauge stayed right in the middle. Did I mess anything up?

This was the color of my oil after this happened

Weird fluid leak or fluid stain

I was doing a pre trip inspection on my Jetta as I plan on road tripping from AZ to San Diego and I was looking around and found this sludgy build up on my transmission pan. I smelled it and even tasted it and it didn’t smell or taste like anything. Is it transmission fluid? I cleaned it and will monitor if it comes back

Lower Fuel Economy

Ive recently been having lower fuel economy than usual. I changed my spark plugs at about 60,000 miles a couple months ago. I only did the plugs because I thought it couldn’t hurt putting some fresh plugs in. The car wasn’t misfiring or anything so I didn’t change out coil packs. I used Bosch Iridium. This was before I found out the previous owner tuned the car. I also put some brand new tires BF Goodrich Comp 2 A/S which I have read could cause bad mpg. I only put top tier certified gas in the car aka Chevron,Shell, QT. I used to be able to get 23-25 in city traffic now I get 20-22. On the freeway I used to get 35-40 now I get 32-35. I’ve also been frequenting the gas station more often.

Could it be the Bosch plugs? Coils? Tires? Or just Hot temps and AC use? I do live in southern AZ.

Brake job

I’m going to do my front and rear brakes soon on my mk7 GLI I was watching a video and saw that some of the bolts are stretch bolts but the specific bolts weren’t shown. Which bolts do I have to replace? I bought the ATE semi metallic kit from FCP EURO

Alignment

I was having issues with my alignment for about month. The car would drift and feel uneasy I bought new tires and knew it was time to get it sorted out. So I went to Firestone and they botched my alignment horribly the first time I took it 2 more times and they said the car had nothing wrong with the suspension. I finally just demanded my money back and took it to the VW dealer. They also did an inspection and found no suspension faults but that I have an uneven front right break pad wear 6/5. The car definitely feels better but I don’t know if it’s because I’m going crazy but very rarely it feels like it wants to drift again.

Once again I am having issues with my GLI drifting to the right. I went underneath and inspected bushings and joints and I couldn’t find anything wrong. I have also done the shock absorber test and found the car bounced up reasonably well 1-2 times. Like a previous person who was helping me on the post before I inspected for play and bent components and found none. The only component I had difficulty diagnosing were the strut towers themselves. I’m thinking I either have bad brakes causing a pull to the right or I have a bent strut.

Got some new tires put on the GLI and I knew it needed an alignment because the roads in my area are focking craters. And the car pulls to the right and felt a little unsteady. I took it for an alignment and they greened everything except for the front right camber and left caster I asked the guy why they didn’t fix it and he obviously explained to me that you can’t fix those values without unbolting the subframe and adjusting it. This is the alignment paper. Am I cooked or nah?
