Quick question: do the rooms come with fans or air conditioning? I’m worried that the first night will be uncomfortable since it’s still quite hot. I heard they do not provide pillows or bed sheets, and that the mattresses were not great.

I ask because I’m moving in to one of the regular rooms (not studio) next week, but I’ll arrive in the late afternoon so I may not have time to buy stuff when I get there. Also, do the shared kitchens get very messy/ crowded? If anyone here has stayed there before, I’d appreciate advice.

Hi, I have 60 kg of luggage and am flying from Spain to Baden-Baden. Can I take an Uber to Strasbourg, straight to the student residence, from Baden-Baden airport? What a good alternative to get to Strasbourg, in that case? Merci.

I’m doing a chemistry undergrad at the University of Valencia, Spain. Planning to pivot into patent law afterwards.

What’s it like working in the field, in Europe? Was it difficult to get started? Is the work more regional (Spanish in Spain, French in France), or is it really as international as they say, with everyone being based in Brussels and Munich? Is the career foreigner-friendly?

It could be a big ask, and I’d appreciate any advice. I’m not from the EU (I’m SE
Asian) but I am fluent in Spanish and English, currently learning French.
