Sometimes I'll come across some people on the internet who just entirely devalue and demonize long distance relationships, like they're worthless or you can't trust them

These make me so, so mad, as someone who's only ever had long distance relationships. People who say those things have zero idea of what human connection really is like, and lack so much empathy and understanding of love

It's okay to not want LDRs but they deserve respect, I can't help but look at those words and see only superficiality, feel hurt, I know they're the ones being ignorant but I doubt myself anyways, specially now that there's someone I like but lives in a different country

There was literally no comment about it prior, she just disappeared one day and he lied to me about what happened, that was like over 10 years ago already but I spent all those years believing she died of sickness when I could've visited her, she was my friend and family and I never got to see her again. He revealed that she was perfectly healthy when he gave her away at dinner with visitors around. No apologizing, downplayed it and treated it like a joke, a playful memory of a normal thing he did

And he's the one who doesn't trust me in general
