Daikin FTKM50XV installed

Purchased daikin FTKM50XV 1.5T star ac from vijay sales website since they are giving a good exchange price on my old dead ac.

We live in a coastal area and summer heat shoots up brutally (40 to 45)

Before purchase, it felt like I was preparing for some exam, gone through all the models, various brands and features.

Wanted to buy panasonic as it is getting for 36k with exchange and card discount but stepped back by looking at reviews and GMCC compressor (since my samsung 2022 model ac has gmcc compressor and it is unable to perform under heat load)

Turns out, this is the best decision. This unit was manufactured in may 2026 and the quality is good too. The indoor unit is massive compared to earlier models and it has 3 filters inside.

ODU is robust as expected and almost makes no noise

Air throw is nice and chills down the room pretty fast.

Just wanted to give a review for people who are in confusion regarding Daikin.

Yet about daikin post. Sorry for annoying. But really need help from HVAC nerds.

What is the exact difference between ATKM50XV and FTKM50XV

People suggested MHI and all but leaned towards daikin 2026 models.

Now I'm getting ATKM50XV for 42,500 after exchange.

FTKM50XV is for 44,500 after exchange.

Whats the difference between ATKM50XV and FTKM50XV.

Searched official daikin website and those guys were stuck in 2016, they didn't even update if its have swing compressor and coanda mode.

When compared, everything is exactly the same including IDU and ODU sizes and weight.

So why exactly i should pay 2k extra for FTKM50XV.

Whats the exact difference and which should i choose?

Users and nerds suggestions are appreciated.

1.5 ton 5 star ac recommendations please

Someone gifted us a samsung inverter ac in 2022 and the 4 star rating is valid from 2018 to 21. First 2 years are very smooth but lately realised that samsung is not very reliable. It is starting to show its age and cooling capacity reduced by a very large extent.

This time i have decided to go with a reliable brand like daikin 1.5t 5 star but unavailable in my area as of now.

What are my best options for long term? I saw reviews that daikin quality became worse (I have 1.5t 5 star daikin ac 2023 model which is a beast comparatively).

Should i wait till i can purchase 2026 model?

Also, i have an old non inverter lloyd 1 ton ac and flipkart is giving 4800 exchange offer, but the issue is...we changed the indoor unit and using powercool idu. In flipkart exchange, i have selected any other model and non working ac and im getting 4800 in that. Whats your suggestions on this exchange
