Grant Morrison run!

Grant Morrison run!

An impulse buy but loved it! Although I had some difficulty understanding the story because I am unaware of the chronology, still the artwork is magnificent.

On that note, what other books should I buy in this series to complete it?

Free alternative to Apple Notes?

I have been using Apple Notes for quite a while (across all devices) but recently handwriting on it- I am facing few glitches and also it’s not converting handwriting to text as intended. Sometimes the device heats a little as well. My primary work is writing by pencil and then converting it to text.

Is there any free alternative note taking app? Also, if there are any suggestions regarding improving digital handwriting?

P.S- I use Apple Pencil.

Free alternative to Apple Notes?

I have been using Apple Notes for quite a while (across all devices) but recently handwriting on it- I am facing few glitches and also it’s not really smooth to write on. Sometimes the device heats a little as well. My primary work is writing by pencil and then converting it to text.

Is there any free alternative note taking app? Also, I have a poor digital handwriting so if any app offers options to tweak around that.

P.S- I use Apple Pencil.

Stuck pixel?

Found this on my iPad while watching a movie yesterday. Quick search on the internet tells me this is a stuck pixel. And although this is very tiny (the image is taken with iPhone camera 5x zoom) I feel it’s better to repair.

Any suggestions on how to fix it?

Heating issues

I am using iPad 11th Gen (A16) and I noticed a weird issue. The top side (near the volume buttons) heats occasionally:

  1. If I stream live WC matches on Safari
  2. Watch YouTube for a prolonged period in Brave

Conversely, while streaming the Criterion Channel on Safari it is okay. Even the battery consumption is pretty low. If I stream live matches on Brave, it is okay.

I am unable to understand this behaviour because of its aberrant nature. Also, the heating is mild (it’s not burning hot) but compared to the temperature of the pad’s other surfaces it goes up a little.

Does anyone know what this is about? I am a little confused here.

Is the 80-20 rule legit?

Trying to get an accurate assessment of how the 80 percent charging works on iPad (mine is 11th Gen, A16) and whether it preserves battery better. Or, if there are any other techniques to do so.

Is there a free app for reading graphic novels/mangas with a panel-to-panel feature?

I see there a bunch of paid ones which I am not willing to commit to, right now. Any free app with basic functionality would work.

Need help with screenwriting app

What is a good screenwriting software that can be accessed across all Apple devices. Pad is the primary writing device, the phone is for noting down something that occurs when my pad is not accessible, and the laptop….. well it’s just a backup. I keep it for works like audio post and editing.

Tried searching on the net but it’s mostly AI stuff so now I’m more confused. Would appreciate any help or advice that you may have!

Thanks.

Szürkület (1990) dir. György Fehér

Randomly stumbled upon this film and I’m totally stumped!

This felt like an encounter with a Bela Tarr directed true crime story (I know the cast and crew are Tarr regulars and this is more Tarr-like than Tarr’s works but still…) The credits say it is based upon Friedrich Dürrenmatt’s work and the original novella does make a specific point about real-life detectives not being able to solve cases like it’s popularly depicted in detective fiction.

Anyone else who watched it? What did you think of the ending?

The ratings are displayed like this on my tab. Is it device-specific or movie-specific, anyone have any idea? Looks cool though, but I am just curious!
