Newcastle testing the waters for home games to be temporarily played in Edinburgh?

Seems to be a rumours doing the rounds with the NUFC supporter clubs that the game at Murrayfield is a soft test for a temporary relocation to Edinburgh when St James Park gets upgraded.

How much have I messed up?

Just trying to seek advice as I think I’ve messed up royally.

I’m treasurer of a small association of residents, we set up a business account as we get a tiny amount of external income from parking fines for parking on our private road (we got a lot of nuisance college students and we just wanted a deterrent). We’re talking income of less than £100 per year. Obviously at this level of income hiring an accountant is a non starter.

When I volunteered, I registered us with companies house as a limited company (because the income was external) and with HMRC. I was under the impression that because our income was less than £100 so was our corporation tax and that this would classify us as a dormant company - which I informed HMRC of. I didn’t hear back from them but haven’t received any notices to file returns.

I’m now panicking slightly because having just filed our accounts with companies house I’ve realised that I might have misinterpreted this and that it doesn’t apply to limited companies. If so I would be late filing a return with HMRC and liable for a large fine far in excess of the money we’ve received.

I was just trying to keep everything above board, but now regret volunteering.
