I think I have SIBO?

Hi! I have never heard of Sibo until the last week or so since I’ve been looking into my symptoms. I have Hashimotos and just found out about it about 8-9 months ago. I’ve cut a lot of things out of my diet to accommodate, I’m basically on a paleo diet to keep it simple.

I have been having really bad gas, and digestion issues leading up to the Hashimotos diagnosis but even with making a lot of diet/lifestyle changes I’m noticing it’s possibly getting worse?

My bowel movements have gotten a lot better, but I have really bad gas, mostly in the evening/night 😭 like once I start relaxing or laying in bed it comes lol.

TLDR: idk if I should ask my doctor to check me for Sibo? Or how it’s checked? What caused you to get checked/diagnosed? What are your symptoms and is it treatable?

Thank you!

Hi! I used to be super into body building, I never competed but I loved the lifestyle and challenge of tracking macros, lifting, cutting and bulking, and adjusting my physique.

I just found out last year I have Hashimotos and it feels like my entire world flipped. Lifting sessions give me extreme fatigue now and it’s so sad losing my hobby and something that makes me feel so good.

Do any of you have Hashimotos or an autoimmune disease that impacts your lifting/fitness? How do you navigate it? Im trying to start from 0 and work my way back up but it feels hopeless some days.

I was diagnosed in September, met my Natural Practitioner in November, and she has been so great. She did all of the deep dive things, so I’m not really looking for any direction on that.

I know I’m not quite optimized yet, but I’m feeling so hopeless about weight loss. I’m not necessarily overweight but I am not “lean” like I used to be and now how to be if that makes sense..

I looove lifting. I love pushing myself, I love being strong and I know how to lift in a healthy way. But now whenever I lift, it causes me extreme fatigue for multiple days. It’s so discouraging. Idk what to do.

TLDR; what have you done to lose weight? What was the timeline and process for you? Do you have flares, if so what helps?
