A factor that aided me in pricing UGC work more effectively

Charge more than just for the video.

Consider:
• Creation of content
• Rights of use
• Unedited video
• Amendments
• Allowlisting/advertisements

A $100 video can quickly turn into a project costing over $300 when usage rights are factored in.

Do you have a separate fee for usage rights?

I launched a side venture where I earn money by making tedious choices for others.

It may seem absurd, but the concept is fundamentally “outsourcing decisions.”
Individuals send me queries about dilemmas they face: which laptop to purchase, what name to choose for a company, ifthey should change apartments, which software subscription to terminate, and so on.

I provide them a brief overview of the choices, advantages/disadvantages, and my personal preference.
The strange thing? Individuals genuinely appear ready to pay for it since they don't really require additional information. They merely desire someone to take the initiative.

I’m deliberately keeping it small and focused instead of aiming to make it another massive productivity company.
Present findings: still in the early stages, yet the feedback has been unexpectedly favorable.

The most amusing aspect is recognizing how often individuals are actually willing to hire someone else to make their“difficult choices.”

When hiring for investment banking, what matters most?

The most important things:

  1. Understand the fundamentals of accounting and valuation.
  2. Have a sincere response to the question "Why IB?" that goes beyond wealth or prestige.
  3. Keep track of a few recent transactions and comprehend the reasons behind them.
  4. Make connections, but avoid sending generic "would love to connect" messages.
  5. Don't overlook appropriate inquiries. Banks are looking for people who can operate well under duress.

You prepare for the interview with technical preparation. You often get into the room through networking.

What more would you add?
