Is it me, or is there way more of this now?

Granted that, for a couple of years now, I have unfollowed all of my friends. The idea was to short-circuit the algorithm, and have no timeline.
Lately, my feed has been filled with this type of crap. Granted, there are still a few left leaning posts, but it seems a 10-1 ratio of right wing crazy.

Share time.

I am feeling a mild twinge of disgust today and alas cannot elaborate until deliberations are over. But…

Share your stories. What’s the most despicable defense argument you’ve heard?

Jury Selection

How does your state do it, and what are your “oh hell no” panel members?

Ours is a freaking death march.

Bring in 30 or so people. Swear them in. Instruct them. Ask them to raise their hand if they have a hardship, scheduling issue, or conflict.

Bring them in one at a time and question them only to immediately excuse them. No time limit. Only your willingness to piss off the judge as a guide.

Then bring everyone in one at a time and question them. No time limit. I listen to the same questions I just asked get asked again. I watch defense question for way too long after I’ve already signaled I was striking them. Defense moves for cause repeatedly where there is no cause.

Way too many challenges given to each side.

It takes forever.
