
2021 Nissan Rogue Sport USB port only charges, CarPlay keeps disconnecting
I have a 2021 Nissan Rogue Sport, and I’m having a really frustrating issue with the front USB port.
The port charges my phone, but it struggles to maintain a CarPlay connection. I’ve tried multiple phones and multiple cables, so I don’t think it’s the phone or wire. I also replaced the USB port module itself with a replacement I ordered online, but the issue is still happening.
The only way I can sometimes get CarPlay to connect is by wiggling the USB cable around. Even then, the smallest movement causes it to disconnect again.
Has anyone dealt with this before? Could this be an issue with the wiring harness behind the USB port, the head unit, or something else in the infotainment system? Any advice would be appreciated.
