does anyone know if deloitte usually opens/reopens applications in august for the winter 2027 staff accountant audit co-op positions in the gta? i’ve seen some winter 2027 postings go up for other locations, but nothing for the gta recently. just wondering if anyone who applied in previous years remembers whether more gta audit positions were posted later in august/september. thanks!

I’m going into 2A AFM at Waterloo, and my first co-op term is this coming January. I’m hoping to land a Big 4 position
I had a few questions:
Is it realistic to get a Big 4 co-op for my first work term?
When do applications typically open for January co-op the second round (i applied to one big 4 in april but was outta luck)
What GPA and extracurriculars are competitive?
my current gpa is 3.7
Any tips for standing out during recruiting or interviews?
If you got a Big 4 offer in 2A, what do you think helped you the most?
I’d also appreciate any general advice on preparing over the next few months.

dollar store managers are the worst.
i get that employees mess up sometimes, but this was so unnecessary. i asked to switch my shift, my assistant manager said yes, and then i even asked my manager to make sure it was okay. she said the problem was that i was supposed to start at 3:00 and the other person was starting at 3:30, so apparently that was a huge deal.
instead of just telling me that, she sent me this long rude paragraph saying i was wrong and to never do it again.
i’m literally just a teenage girl working my first summer job. i’m still learning how all this works. i wasn’t trying to do anything wrong.
what makes it worse is she’s known for giving people less hours if she doesn’t like them, so now i’m scared she’s gonna cut my hours over this. it honestly could’ve been a normal conversation instead of making me feel like i did something awful.
am i overreacting or would this annoy you too?
