Looking for a GMAT Prep Buddy
Hi everyone,
I’m planning to prepare for the GMAT with the goal of applying to top B-schools. Looking for a serious and consistent study partner who’s also starting their prep (or is in the early stages).
Hi everyone,

Hi everyone,
I’m 26F and did an integrated MBA (BBA + MBA) from a tier-2 college. I’ve been working for about 4.5 years now, but I honestly don’t enjoy my job anymore. The work has become very repetitive, and I don’t see much growth unless I upskill or get a better degree.
Last year, I prepared seriously for CAT. I was consistently scoring well in mocks and genuinely believed I’d crack it, but things just didn’t go my way on the actual exam day. It was one of the biggest setbacks I’ve had. I was so devastated that for the next six months, I barely did anything to move my career forward. I didn’t study, didn’t prepare for a job switch, and honestly just felt stuck.
I’m finally at a point where I feel like I have the mental strength to start again, but now I’m confused about which direction to take.
One option is to give CAT another shot. The other is to prepare for the GMAT, especially since I already have 4.5 years of work experience. But GMAT feels overwhelming because I have absolutely no idea where to begin. With CAT, I knew the coaching, mock tests, preparation strategy, etc. With GMAT, I don’t know which resources are worth following or how people usually prepare.
On top of that, my parents have started talking seriously about marriage. I know 26 isn’t old, but I can’t help feeling like I’m running out of time. I don’t want to spend another year preparing only to end up back at square one.
Has anyone here been in a similar situation? If you had my profile, would you give CAT another attempt or switch to the GMAT? And if you chose GMAT, how did you start preparing?
I’d really appreciate any advice or perspective. Thanks! 🙏

Now I’m at a crossroads. A part of me wants to give CAT another shot, but another part keeps wondering if I’m even a strong enough candidate to make the most of an IIM if I do get in. Because of that, I’ve started considering the GMAT instead, especially since I already have 4.5 years of work experience.
For people who’ve been in a similar situation or have taken either route, what would you recommend? Should I prepare for CAT again or shift my focus to the GMAT? I’d really appreciate honest advice, especially from those who have made this decision themselves.
Thanks!

We’re facing a serious water shortage situation in BKC today. There is literally no water available in our office building, not even in the washrooms. Drinking water has run out, and most water bottle listings on delivery apps seem to be out of stock as well. This feels much bigger than an isolated building issue. Is anyone else in BKC or other parts of Mumbai experiencing the same problem? If yes, which areas are affected and has anyone received any official communication regarding the cause or expected resolution?
