The items introduced in SOD are a lot of fun. It's a shame only a few of them import to SoA. The Banshee Bow +2 is such a cool concept to me. And after learning about the mod that imports more SOD items to SoA I'm planning a build/play through around it.

Any SOD items that you wish were available early enough to warrant rolling a new character to build around it?

Happy holiday weekend to the United States based ppl. Hopefully everyone remembered to put in to the first day back after the 3 day weekend off. Never want to be logged on for the deluge of claims from over the long weekend.

Please do not leave more than 1 voicemail while your adjuster is OOO. Your claim is no more important than the 15+ new claims your adjuster has to deal with when they first clock in on Monday.

Basically my top 4 companions are locked in Bg1/SOD

Love my some Garrick and Ajantis. Ajantis gets the short end of the stick extra hard in bg2 though. I would trade Ano and Keldorn for Ajantis tbh.

Then there’s Glint and Baeloth that get left in SOD, figures the two beamdog companions I like the most aren’t in BG2.

Anyone else have BG1 companions that they love that didn’t make the cut for BG2?

If you play with mods and havent played a run through with this mod yet do yourself a favor and make sure you install for your next fresh play through. Never thought I'd want to do a Charname bard play through. But after playing with Garrick as one of the new kits (troubadour) I think I might have to.

Title says it all. Knowing there’s the dagger of venom available in Beregost super early I went with 2 proficiency points in daggers 1 in crossbows for an eventual army scythe and finally 1 in katanas for a celestial furry in bg2

Will I regret these proficiencies? Very early in my run so I’d rather reroll now if needed.

Anyone done a play through using this mod? What did you think? How did it feel? I’ve loved every mod kit I’ve played from this modder. Currently doing a run using Bardic Wonders to make Garrick a Troubadour along with the Artisan Kitpack Divine Champ kit for Ajantis.

I’ve yet to play a dud from Artisan.

I tend to do good aligned runs. I always kill Drizzt though so I can get Jaheria all kitted out. My RP cope for killing him is that my Charname is some sheltered bumpkin from Candlekeep. He's out and about and sees a scary looking Drow with a hoard of Gnolls so he panics and kills the scary Drow. He only finds out who Drizzt is after reviving Jaheria and she lectures him. Is that all good enough rationalization? What are some convoluted RP copes that you have for your Charname decisions?

I am the adverse carrier and we’ve been handling the All State insureds damages. The All State vehicle was drivable after the accident. For some reason All State paid out their insureds rental coverage maximum the day he filed with them.

Now almost a month later all state is trying to recover from us. My supe said All State has been doing the a lot lately.

Anyone else in here run into? anyone on the inside able to tell me why? Also why is all states sub dept so awful to deal with in general? Ty!

I’ve been posting about my current arcane archer run in here. The last arcane archer special ability is ‘Arrow of Death’ and man it’s OP. Using it allowed me to 1 shot Nizidramanni’yt.

Should be starting TOB today. I’m excited to see how much stomping will take place. This kit is OP overall tbh. I’ve never played any sort of difficulty mods but I think it’ll be a must on subsequent arcane archer play throughs.

The mod also allows a Fighter/Mage multiclass Arcane Archer kit. I think I’m going to try that next (esp now that I’ve gotten around to setting upEET). Main reason I’m going with the multi class is for find familiar lol.

Anyone else in here try the Fighter/Mage AA kit?

I'm playing an Arcane Archer with the Artisan Kitpack mod. I was super excited to get my hands on the Gesen Bow so I ran straight to The Docks after apologizing to Drizzt for killing him Bg1. As soon as I spawn into The Docks I triggered the Githyanki encounter for silver blade. As soon as they finished their monologue the Harpers spawned in and started monologue(ing) at Jaheria. I don't know why but the whole thing made me laugh so I wanted to share.

I've never used Valygar till this play through. I have him equipped with Celestial Fury and Belm on the offhand. Was having so much fun with him that I completely forgot he was keeping Imoen's seat warm. So now Imoen is stuck navigating back to the Copper Coronet alone. Why do I as a 30 year old man of sound(ish) mind feel bad about abandoning my pixel sister in a creepy dungeon after she was tortured for 101 days while I gallivanted around Amn?

Biggest pet peeve is a claim with an unlisted driver driving the inured vehicle. I reach out and say “hey I know the agent listed you as a main contact, but you aren’t on the policy so I will need to speak with the policy holder.”

And they follow up with “so and so has Alzheimer’s and dementia” so what you’re telling me is this policy holder probably shouldn’t have a license anymore and you’re driving their vehicle and using their policy because it’s cheaper? And now you rear-ended someone. Very nice.

Love sending a risk report on these. So annoying.

I saw this thread while searching for another thread awhile back. I can’t find it now though and all similar threads are 5+ years old so here I am making a new one.

What are your play through quirks? Roleplay or otherwise. Stuff like making your thief carry the gem pouch, putting useless jewelry on your characters to fill an empty space because you think they’d like said jewel. Stuff like that.

Mine? Ever since installing tweaks anthology I always make it so Vick has a thief avatar because of her dialogue about always hiding under a hood and we travel in the sun a lot and Drows eyes are sensitive to bright light.

In BG1 I usually claim an empty house as a home base usually the one near High Edge. On chaotic/neutral good thief runs when I convince the rich people in Candlekeep inn to lock more valuables in the chest upstairs. After I sell the jewel I save a bit to put in the donation bucket at the little temple area.

There’s lots more that I do but I’m drawing a blank.

In chapter 10 in SoDS and Safana won’t talk to me? I think I chose a wrong response for a romance dialogue? I can’t do the traitor quest now lol. Any work arounds?

I haven’t played bg3. I work from home so I watch a lot of YouTube on the clock. I’ve watched lots of BG3 related videos. watching game play with 0 context it’d be easy to not realize it’s baldurs gate game. At least for me.

I’ll eventually play bg3, the story really interests me. But the lack of companion choices and the small party size + turn based combat puts me off

What’s yalls opinions on BG3? Is the game play easy to get into coming from the OG games?
