Of all the Legends ZA comics I’ve made so far, I’m most proud of this one!

I know many players(myself included) were rather excited by the prospect of working for a crime syndicate in a Pokémon game. Hence, I wanted to explore the concept of the protag’s eagerness towards the rust syndicate arc and how other characters might react to it in this comic!

So, let's set the premise. A Team Sky Grunt gets isekai'd to the Palpagos Islands and tries to reach the World Tree for a way back home.

If one is to try a challenge like this outside Pokémon, a few different ground rules need to be established.

1. Catching non-"Sky" Pals will be mandatory to survive, and they will be needed to work the base. You can stay true to Team Sky by only using "Sky Pals" in your main battling team (which includes yourself).
2. There is no Flying or Wind Element or anything similar in Palworld, so the only way to determine if a Pal is "of the Sky", it has to be visibly flight-capable or can levitate indefinitely. If it can serve as your Glider, that counts as the equivalent of using Fly.
3. No catching humans, unless they can fly. They're not normally Sky Pals, are they?
4. If a Pal can be used as your weapon, it needs to qualify for Rule 2 to be in the party. Otherwise, yoyr weapon has to be nonsentient. 4a. Alternatively, you may take such a Pal that does not fit Rule 2 so long as it ONLY battles AS your weapon.
5. Entering Feybreak Island without a swimming pal (since they have SAMs to shoot you out of the sky) can be done with this trick.

Why in the MOTHER OF GOD did the anime NOT give Captain Pikachu MAGNET RISE!? IT WAS RIGHT F#$%ING THERE!!!!!

Magnet rise is a move that has the user use electromagnetism to levitate off the ground to dodge Ground-Type moves. That would've been a PERFECT move to give to a Pikachu who wanted to fly and I know that Pikachu can learn this move in the games! They gave it to an Electrode in Journeys, why not Cap!?

And spoilers for Pokémon Horizons, but this move also could've helped in slowing Freed's spaceship down when he was falling to Earth. Imagine Cap using Magnet Rise to fly up and magnetically slow the ship's decent instead of using the Flying Tera-Type.

And speaking of Flying, they could've even had Pikachu using magnet rise constantly eventually lead to learning a Flying-Type move; Fly! The move that 1 event Pikachu new, that would've been so cool!

This also could've been used to explain away that 1 time in XY when Team Rocket's disguise wasn't immediately blown by their "floating Pikachu." "Oh, ThAt'S fRoM tRaInInG rEaL hArD," bull$#!+.

And for a minute, I'm gonna talk about Zactoshi's fan rewrite of the Pokémon anime. In it, he gave Ash's Pikachu Partner Power in reference to the Partner Pikachu in Pokémon: Let's Go Pikachu, and explained the exclusive move Floaty Fall as Pikachu using Iron Tail to launch itself into the air and somehow control his movements in the air (like how) to floatily strike his opponent from above.

... why not use MAGNET RISE!? That could've been the perfect way to explain why Pikachu can control his movements in midair when he should have no way of doing so (though, there's still Captain Pikachu), and it also could've led to Pikachu also learning Fly! Missed opportunity, MY GOD!

This is Michele from my Team Sky playthough of Pokemon Sapphire in Reverse, and this is her squad. This video is taken just before challenging and winning the League.

Turns out, my final challenge before I finally potentially join Team Sky is to go to the Sky Pillar and acquire the avatar of my world's "Skydios". I had tried looking for the Sky Pillar before, but I couldn't find the way in. It appears the way only made itself open once I proved myself by becoming Champion. The climb was arduous, but nothing to the new Champion of Hoenn. I soon reach the top, and finally behold Rayquaza. I claim his avatar, and my challenge is complete.

Go! Team! Sky!

After defeating my own Normal-type father, the Fire-type Flannery, the Electric-type Watson, the Fighting-type Brawly, and finally Champion Roxanne with a Destiny Bond finish, I have finally become Champion of this Hoenn! Go! Team! Sky!

...Oh, there's one final challenge to partake before I'm well and truly in?

So after leaving the Cave of Origin via Sirocco's Dig, I make sure everything's well and truly back to normal before I proceed with the last Gym. I also return to Mt. Pyre to get rid of the Blue Orb, and arrive just in time to see Archie return the Red Orb. Once that whole thing is behind me, I turn my attention to finally facing Winona. I go through all of the trainers (well, only three actually challenged me, which is a shame), and make it to the top to face off with her, Sky trainer to Sky trainer. I manage to prove my skill to her, and earn her Badge. Go Team Sky!

With no more need to Dive for the rest of the journey, I had Seasoar forget Dive and learn Waterfall instead. And then I climb the Waterfall, roost for a bit at the center, and make my move to surmount Victory Road. The formerly sick boy Wally from Petalburg/Verdanturf proves to be a surprise final obstacle, but I will not be stopped now and beat him. And then, I reach the League, show the Badges, and finally I'm ready to face the Elite Four.

...You know, maybe founding my own team might not be for me after all. Especially after I heard a rumor of a cross-universal team that shares my dreams, and even shares the same name I would've named my organization. I think I shall prove myself to THAT Team Sky by becoming Champion instead.

So after a trip to the Shoal Cave for some training, I decided to collect the materials for the Shell Bell on a whim, and then Dive (ugh!) to Sootopolis to challenge the elegant Winona... except she's currently unavailable! So I decided to follow up on the other problem at hand: Team Aqua. I find their submarine, surface in the cave they're at, and blow through all its members before actually reaching Kyogre first! Unfortunately, Archie battled me, and then his Red Orb drove Kyogre berserk, and started a massive downpour! If this continues, there will be nowhere left for the sky Pokemon to rest their wings, not to mention all the rain battering them!

Champion Roxanne finds me, leads me to Sootopolis, and takes me to the elegant Winona herself. They then take me to the entrance to the Cave(!) of Origin where Kyogre is doing its thing. So with the entire region at stake, I head in. Without a light, But I needed my entire team to face a legendary, so I brave it, pick up the crucial HM07 to reach Ever Grande on the way, reach the bottom, and put a stop to Kyogre, returning it to its slumber once more! Go Team Sky!
