[F4M] going thru it… wanna talk? Midwest

I’m currently stuck in a pretty shitty living situation and an “it’s complicated” situationship that has left me feeling incredibly lonely. Finances are the biggest thing keeping me here right now. I have kids, bills, and responsibilities, so unfortunately I can’t just pack a suitcase and disappear into the sunset.
I am working on a way out. I’m figuring out what I need financially and practically to get myself and my kids somewhere happier and more peaceful. It just can’t happen overnight.

In the meantime, I miss having someone I genuinely feel close to. Someone to talk to throughout the day, share stupid little things with, laugh with, have ridiculous conversations and deep late-night ones, and actually feel seen by.

A little about me I’m 38, a mom, animal lover. I love music, gaming, photography, painting, plants, puzzles, cooking, baking, coffee and good food. I’m happiest outside kayaking, camping, hiking or near the water, but I’m equally happy being cozy at home with animals, a game or movie.

And yes, there’s this stupid little fairy-tale part of me that imagines the right person somehow stumbling across this post, seeing me buried in this mess and saying, “Come on. You don’t have to live like this anymore.”😂 I know that’s not how it works. I have to build my own way out.

For now, I’m really just looking for connection. Friendship, stupid conversations, deep conversations, flirting if it naturally goes there, whatever develops. I’m not trying to force anything.
I think I mostly just miss feeling seen.
If you’re lonely too, say hi. Maybe two internet strangers can make life feel a little less lonely for each other.

looking for someone to talk to 38f

I’m not entirely sure what I’m hoping to get out of posting this. Maybe I just need to put it somewhere outside of my own head.
I’m currently stuck in a pretty miserable living situation and an “it’s complicated” relationship/situationship that has left me feeling incredibly lonely. Finances are the biggest thing keeping me here right now. I have kids to think about, bills to pay, and I can’t just dramatically pack a suitcase and disappear into the sunset.
But I am thinking about my way out. I’m trying to figure out what I need to do financially and practically to get myself and my kids into a better situation. It just isn’t something I can make happen overnight.

In the meantime, I’m lonely.
I miss having someone I actually feel close to. Someone I can talk to throughout the day. Someone who wants to hear the stupid little things that happened at work, sends me something because it made them think of me, talks about life at 1 a.m., makes me laugh, and genuinely wants to know me.
It’s a strange kind of loneliness when there’s technically another person right there, but you still feel like you’re doing life by yourself.

There’s also this embarrassingly romantic little part of my brain that imagines posting something like this and somehow the right person stumbles across it, sees me buried in this mess and says, “Come on. You don’t have to live like this anymore.”
I know. That’s not how real life works.
And ultimately, I know I need to build my own way out.
But damn, sometimes it feels good to imagine somebody seeing you struggling and wanting to help carry some of the weight.

So I guess for now, I’m just looking for people to talk to. Friendship, connection, ridiculous conversations, deep conversations, whatever develops naturally. I’m not trying to force anything or immediately jump into another relationship. I think I mostly just miss feeling seen.
If you’ve ever been stuck somewhere you knew wasn’t where you belonged anymore, especially because money made leaving complicated, I’d love to hear from you.
Or if you’re lonely too and just want someone to talk to, say hi.
