Looks like Sbr-socom is available again, anyone have experience loading that powder with heavy subs?
reddit.comAnybody have experience with Makers bullets with Supers?
I already load and hunt with their subs but want to hear first hand experience with their supers
Looking forward to plenty of suppressor parts available again
reddit.comSuppressor build changes from submission
Does anyone know what kinda changes you can make while building your form 1 suppressor compared to what you submitted and were approved for?
Like change diameter by .25”, length by so many inches or even material, stainless instead of aluminum, etc
I know the model/serial would have to remain the same and once it’s built it can’t be changed but while your making it you need to alter your plan
Form 1 Integral Suppressor design ideas
Just submitted a form 1 for an integral suppressor build for a .458 socom. I’m pretty new to the form 1 world and haven’t even bought materials yet. Wrote in the submittal it would all be stainless. A few questions to guys who’s made them before.
-I know I have to drill the barrel after the gas block but how is everyone mounting the can to/over the barrel? Basically how does the back end cap attach to the barrel?
-Is there usually a hard divider separating the expansion chamber(part over the drilled barrel) from the blast chamber starting at the muzzle?
-if there’s is a divider, is it solid to stop or ported to flow gas into the blast chamber?
-is the threaded muzzle still the main point of connection to the barrel? Basically a bravo hub but in the middle of the can instead of the end
Is there any resources for design ideas? I did some searching and couldn’t see much
7.5” Faxon 1/5t keyholing
Anyone else have keyholing after switching to a Faxon 7.5” 1/5t .300 blackout barrel, shooting subs?
I wanted to start loading Makers 240gr (already loading 200’s)so I switched from my psa 1/8t to a Faxon 1/5t but I lost all my accuracy and keyholing on all loads at 50 yds. No diff w & w/o a can on.
I was hoping for an upgrade and now it seems like it’ll go in the scrap pile
