Dark/Horror JRPGs available on Steam?

In a bit of a gaming slump, and would love a good JRPG with a darker or more mature story/tone than the usual fair, preferably with horror elements, but I have no idea what might fit the bill.

I've played all of the Persona games and Shin Megami Tensei Nocturne (Nocturne or the early persona games are more the vibe I want than the highschool hijinks of new persona, but those would all qualify more or less, if I hadn't already played them).

Code Vein hit a good note for me too, and hit some of the dark vibes I want. I was surprised by how big a chokehold that game had on me for a title I bought for like $8 on sale. Although I'm not sure I want another soulslike just yet, but if you know a great one that fits the bill, I'm not against it either

The darker the better, and the more horror leaning the better. Graphics don't matter. I love a well written 2d game as much as a 3d one. Non-teenagers a plus, but I aint that picky for high trauma. Psychological horror, gore, shock value, all good.

I don't really like the art and gameplay of western RPGs that much, but I know they're more adult leaning than JRPGs in general (Which I do like), but if there's something western that isn't bethesda or bioware-esque, I'm open to that too.

I prefer it be on steam for convenience

Scifi Reverse Harems/Why Chooses that aren't aliens?

Long time lover of scifi, but since I started reading romance, I learned that "scifi" mostly just means monster romance, but the monsters are technically aliens, which isn't really the scifi I want (love monster romance. No hate. But it's not giving me the right feels)

I recently read a book called Code Vessel by Leann Belle that I happened upon by pure luck of the tiktok fyp, and even though it didn't have many reviews, it was EVERYTHING I wanted. Full Space Opera/Star Warsy feelings of adventure, interesting futuristic technology, big stakes, dystopia politics, space stations, and gundams (lol), AND it was why choose, effin' A, and it scratched that itch so hard, I really need something else like it.

So if anyone knows any scifi RHs that actually read more scifi space opera.techy than alien monster romance, I have a need right now and I'll be forever grateful!

Harems with animosity between the men?

I love me some harems where the men actually kind of hate each other and have to learn to coexist for her, and I need more of these. Some of my favorites that play with this concept are the Ruthless Boys of the Zodiac series and the Monsters of Graves Academy series, but I've only been encountering functional friend group type harems lately, and I want the hate and dysfunction. MM is a plus but not required

Monster Collector/raising games that also have home/base building aspects?

Preferably on Steam, since my deck is my primary game system these days, but any good monster collector games that also let you build and upgrade your home/monster ranch?

Closest I've played is the Rune Factory games, but I've played them all, and I'd like something new. I've played the old Monster Rancher games, too, but I'm hoping for something where you have an avatar that interacts with the world, rather than just interacting with dismbodied menus

Requiring RPG and questing elements to get materials to upgrade the base and find the monsters is a plus. Having Arenas for the monsters isn't necessary but also a plus. I just really want the satisfaction and coziness of grinding to build my home and my monster's home, so I'm open to anything that hits these concepts!
