TW: past SI mentioned. EFMP enrollment for neurological and mental health conditions. Overseas (PACAF/Europe) experiences?
My husband is new to the Air Force, and our dream destinations are in PACAF and Europe.
Unfortunately, I have a history of neurological and mental health issues, including past suicidal ideation. I see two specialists, a neurologist and a psychiatrist, and I take a few medications to manage my mental health and seizures.
I just found out I have to enroll in EFMP, which in my situation seems to mean we're basically barred from PCSing to our dream destinations. All I can find are EFMP horror stories, and it's really discouraging.
Please share your experiences with EFMP, especially if you have similar medical needs and were cleared for overseas.
